"Thanks for the report, DKNY! I'll take your word for what was going on, over that of a 15 year old's who is not only biased against Rudy, but who is a child.

Your father is pretty hard core Conservative, I take it. :-)"

Thanks for the shot there.

All I was saying is that just because Rudy was warmly welcomed does not mean his 2008 White House bid is destined to succeed. While certainly many of the attendees support Rudy's bid, not all do. Some were there because they thought he is a great leader and speaker, not because they want him to become the standard bearer of the Republican party.

And that doesn't even count the many CRP members who didn't buy a ticket for the speech. As I said before, at convention functions separate from the speech, I saw as many stickers for other candidates as for Rudy.

So bottom line is that we can't count California for Rudy just yet because he received a warm reception. He certainly has some support, but it is by no means unanimous.

And finally, I'm not biased against Rudy. Do I think he is a great leader? Yes. Do I think he is a valuable member of the Republican party? Yes. The only thing I don't support is him becoming the leader of the GOP.

And about being a child, first of all, I'm actually 16 but haven't had a chance to update my profile, but regardless, it is sad that you would immediately dismiss the comments of someone just because they are under the age of 18.

I have no idea how old you are nor does it matter to me. I suggest you go back and read my posts as I never made such a comment to you.

It wasn't a "shot" and yes, I completely dismiss the opinion of a child; especially one who is biased as you are.

The post that I am now replying to, has quite a different tone and far more substance than your first.

I was politically active at your age and had a VERY good/reliable "gut reaction". Unlike you, I was able to see all sides and speak to them; however, I would never have thought it proper to get into a political debate with adults. Rather, I would listen to what those who knew more than I did, had to say, ponder their words, take from them what I could, and discard that which I knew wasn't worth much.

And even though 18 year olds can vote now, I don't give them much credence either.
