They're not too bad, but you have to reheat them with steam. Microwaving or baking is unacceptable.

Actually, one of our first and most memorable dates was to introduce her to White Castle. I figured if she liked them, I was in for a good life had we chosen to get married. Since April marks 20 years, I think I may just make a reservation.

Back in my college daze, we'd drop by "El Castillo Blanco" for a few sliders after the bars closed. For some reason they tasted good when I was 'faced, but not so good when sober.
Never thought of it as romantic, though. Just a place to sober up a bit, before heading home.

One night years ago when I lived in Detroit's Mexican Town, I drove out to the nearest White Castle, a few blocks from old Tiger Stadium. It was wintertime, about 12:30 AM, and the place was packed with people lined up, with me the only white guy. No big deal.
What was amusing was the set up. One side of the dining room was completely locked off, and a big burly security guard stood there with a double barreled shot gun resting across the table. On the side where all the people were, a guy was crouched down on the floor taking three-card montie bets. It was like a scene from a movie.

the Castle is awesome
due to health considerations, I only allow one visit per month but I enjoy it immensely
(my wife won't get within 500 feet of the place)
