Truth Truck Saves Baby Again -Woman had no idea abortion kills a “live” baby

Woman with four children had no idea abortion kills a “live” baby

Wichita, KS – A couple who intended to abort their fifth child at George Tiller’s Wichita abortion mill changed their minds after seeing photos of aborted babies on Operation Rescue’s Truth Truck, which is parked outside the entrance every day the mill is open.

Remarkably, the pregnant woman, Francisca, was unaware that her developing baby was alive even in the first trimester even though she has givin birth to four children.

“I am so glad that we found out about it BEFORE we went through with it!” Francisca said. “I kept thinking last night; what would I have done if I found out about this AFTER I already had the abortion?”

“This is not unusual,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “The truth about the development of the baby and the nature of abortion are often kept from women. That’s what happens when educational institutions allow the likes of Planned Parenthood to propagandize in the classroom.”

The Truth Truck is faithfully driven to the mill each day by Mark Gietzen of the Kansas Coalition for Life, who also coordinates a schedule of nearly 400 volunteers to cover shifts at the mill so there is a pro-life presence every hour the abortion mill is open.

Sidewalk counselors Donna Lampkin and Richard Moss helped direct the couple to Choices Medical Center, a pro-life medical clinic that operates next door to Tiller’s abortion mill.

“We often field concerns from well-meaning people about the wisdom of using graphic images, but this story should help people understand how important it is to tell the truth about what abortion does to innocent children. Francisca’s situation is not unique. We hear from family after family that the graphic images saved the lives of their babies,” said Newman.

OR’s Truth Truck fleet is currently on the road saving lives and changing hearts in Washington, California, Colorado, the Gulf States, and beyond, in addition to the steady witness in Wichita, Kansas.

Every day CNN viewers are confronted with photos of soldiers killed in Iraq. Now imagine if every day viewers were told of "thousands of deaths in American abortuaries today," and confronted with images of slaughtered babies.

Silence with regard to evil is the devil's friend.

A perfect example of why Planned Parenthood does not want ultrasound in thier clinics.

I know such ignorance exists, but I find it so hard to accept. The more "advertising" we can do, the better. I also believe the commercials where a younger woman talked about not having an abortion were very effective. I haven't seen one in a long time. I'd be happy to send a donation to get those back on the air.

This is why stupid people should not be adding to the gene pool. Did she think they were all eggplants before they popped out of her!!??

This seems a "living under a rock" kind of situation.

This is the kind of soft pedaling cr@p that permeated my college years in the 1970's. People have been brainwashed....it has been and will continue to be a long row to hoe.

I'm concerned slightly about how big the images are, mostly for the sake of small children seeing it. As much as it might impress upon children what abortion is, it might also severely scare them and make them hostile towards the prolife side when they get older. Wouldn't it spread the message just as well to use one of those 3d ultrasounds labeled with the week of developement, or that picture of the tiny embryo that was taken out to save the mother's life, without possibly causing more harm than good and without people saying they're using scare tactics?

I'm glad it's saving lives. I'm just worried about the potential damage it might be doing. I still think saving the lives outweighs the damage.

I went looking for a quote I read somewhere and can't find it now, but I used to hear all the time in the first year I was debating casually with people, It's not alive until the end of the second trimester. It's still a bunch of tissue with no brain activity, pulse, or the ability to breathe.

Instead I found people arguing that the reason to keep abortion available is because otherwise they'll end up in the adoption system. So let's just kill them!

There isn't a direct quote. I'm hoping that she fell for the "blob of tissue" lie. Otherwise, she wouldn't be the brightest bulb on the tree.

That's a legitimate concern. But I see this as the lesser of two evils. Posting these images saves lives, while at the same time traumatizing small children. Failing to post these images will cost lives, but small children won't be traumatized.

Wouldn't it spread the message just as well to use one of those 3d ultrasounds labeled with the week of developement?

This tactic could avoid the above dilemma. Unfortunately, such images simply do not have the same emotional impact as images of aborted babies. Many people have become pro-life after seeing graphic images of aborted babies. That doesn't happen with images of healthy babies in utero. There is one exception, however, and that's with pregnant, abortion-minded women who are shown live ultrasound images of their babies. Such women are very reluctant to abort.

I agree, it's the lesser of two evils. You're right, seeing those images is deeply moving. I've seen a lot of them and I still can't look at them without feeling sick and...aghast really, that we do this to our children.

The "choicers" want to block ultrasounds for just that reason. Ultrasounds are weapons, you see, if a woman gets to see it. It's sick, especially since women can go on to see ultrasounds of future, wanted pregnancies, get hit with the reality, and suffer for it.

I understand your anger at this woman for being "stupid", but your remark about these types should not be allowed to procreate makes you sound no better than the pro death crowds.

That said, for crying out loud, that is way way too dumb it's beyond belief

"I'm concerned slightly about how big the images are..."

I have not been near that clinic in many years, but I can tell you that it is located on E. Kellogg; probably the busiest road in Wichita. I'm positive that children are exposed to those images. I would be HIGHLY upset if those pictures were thrust in front of my children.

My experience with OR in the summer of 1991 was not a good one. Few of them were the nice, rational people they attempt to make themselves out to be.

Couple of comments here... Wichita, KS – A couple who intended to abort their fifth child at George Tiller’s Wichita abortion mill ...

The way I read that, this couple had already aborted four other children! Eeek! I must need more soda.

“I am so glad that we found out about it BEFORE we went through with it!” Francisca said. “I kept thinking last night; what would I have done if I found out about this AFTER I already had the abortion?”

After reading this comment, I thought this article came from the Onion.

Thanks for sharing the article.

I believe you could keep abortion "legal" if more people were to see ultrasounds, it would change a lot of hearts and minds. I was lukewarm about abortion until I saw an ultrasound.

Weapons of Mass Salvation.

Not her words, mine. Her words just end at weapon. Oh no, women now see what's inside of them. THE HORROR!

This is why the Pro-Death advocates want to make showing anybody such pictures a crime.

"What happened in the summer of 1991?"

Operation Rescue's "Summer of Mercy". HUGE protests and national coverage. Crowds of protesters were there 24/7 for practically the whole summer.
