So criticism is now faculty repression? And yet their critcism of the lacrosse players/critics/American society at large/etc is their right, correct? Interesting cognitive dissonance they've got there.
The good professors say, continue paying us $40k a year for your education and to hell with providing customer satisfaction. You owe us your money and we don't owe you a damn thing.

Tenure. Repeat after me: tenure. Academia is full of tenured flower-children, now safely protected by university endowments to shoot off their mouths. No courage there.
Teachers can say whatever they want in whatever leftist rally they happen to attend or sponsor. But they should be expected to act like a professional in the lecture hall and stick to the curriculum, leaving campus and other politics out of it. I had a few professors at U of M who could do this, but many who never did.

I saw the coverage last night on TV. Even the reporting was slanted for the benefit of the "Academic Victims". lol. Poor babies. "They'd like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony...."
Tell me of one time that a faculty member was repressed from expressing an opinion.
Ya know...go back in time 50 years ...change the color of the woman involved to white...the students to black and ...it becomes apparent that with some people things really never change...the same racist Democrats whose words and actions perpetuated the ancient bigoted southern myths...have simply, quite literally, changed their appearances...but not their minds and words. and even more amazing, is that the contemporary MSM is just as complicit in these issues today, as in pretending what came before never existed then. The bigots are better paid, have better press, and are just as powerful.
Three schools my children will never attend. Duke, Cornell, and UNC (for denying the SUV jihadist was motivated by religion when he said so)
