Just another member of the lynch mob.

Agree with the Bush bashers and get elected. Its an old election tactic he hopes will work for him. It isnt the first time Mccain has placed his knife in someone elses back. Et Tu Brute"

What a jerk!! And the reason for bringing this up now is.......? It was the lead-off story on our radio news. Why is it relative to anything. Thanks, John.

This is a very interesting turnabout for John McCain. He praised Rumsfeld when he resigned. Now he has harsh criticism. Because I look for consistency in genuine leaders, McCain has taken a step backward. IMO McCain regrets that the country is so polarized over the Iraq war thanks mostly to the steady drumbeat of lies by the MSM. But even if Rumsfeld added more troops we may or may not be where we are now.

The problem may not be more troops, but failure to conduct the war to achieve a decisive victory. We are using rules of engagement that makes victory difficult or impossible (remember Vietnam?). Rumsfeld failed to get rid of Sadr early on, and he failed to use our technology to wipe out the enemy in the Sunni Triangle. Rumsfeld allowed the enemy to use mosques, to use the general population as hostages, and, worse, he helped the enemy by persecuting our own boys for doing their jobs "too well." Rumsfeld had no strategy to prosecute or counter the seditious enemy within. Yet he had thousands of potential witnesses (our own men and women in the armed forces) to the unreported successes in Iraq.

IMO adding troops without changing the rules of engagement would be futile.

mcpain, mcinsane, mclame (whatever or whoever he is known as) still is one of the worst senators in the history of this nation. This person isn't worthy of being a b____ for a dog much less a senator. Too bad he's running for the highest office in the land. mcpain, mcinsane, mclame (whatever or whoever he is known as) or hitlery (choose one).....pardon me I'll pass. I'd throw up constantly for days, if I voted for either.

The thing is - why can't the media recognize that John McCain is certifiable.

I just to post this again:

My John McCain (up close and personal) story, from the 2000 South Carolina Primary.

Greenville SC - the 2000 Presidential primary - John McCain had just beaten ‘W’ in the NH primary and the “Straight Talk Express” rolled into South Carolina.

I was a McCain supporter - positive that he was the real deal.

I drove to a McCain speech and public appearance. It was a day I will never forget as long as I live.

That day I witnessed John McCain behave unlike any appearance I had ever seen on TV - the man was unhinged.

After a 15 minute canned speech - he decided to address his competition in the primary - George W. Bush. He did so by beginning with, “I am Luke Skywalker, and my opponents are members of the Empire. Together we will form the rebellion and defeat Darth Vadar”. He yelled this - first pumping - his voice full of anger - his face - beet red - and his eyes - well - they were scary.

The crowd instantly went from supportive - to bewildered.

He obviously didn’t pick up on the mood change - because he went on for another 5 minutes - ranting and raving about how everyone was lying about his record - his views - and he, “wasn’t going to take it any more” (remember the movie Network).

It was surreal.

When he finished - and with the prodding of an aid - he left the stage, while we in the crowd just stood there - stunned - and honestly - completely confused.

I asked a woman next to me: “what the hell just happened?” She answered: “that man is freaking nuts!”

I came home - walked in the house - sat on the couch and just looked at the wall. I suddenly realized - the man pushed on television - was not the man at all.

I have told this story many times - to many people - and I have heard the same story told back to me by others who have seen similar John McCain episodes.

I am not given to criticize anyone lightly ladies and gentlemen.

I am sure John McCain is a good man - but listen to me - and please believe me.

JOHN MCCAIN is NOT FIT TO LEAD THIS NATION.

John McCain is unstable. John McCain is freaking nuts!

In no way do I mean to promote McCain but on this one he is right. The Neo-con argument that Iraq could be a Democracy I always thought was ludicrous from the beginning. Rumsfeld's major mistake was going in with to few troops so now 6 years later we have to have a "surge" after it is probably to late(to late means trying to win the war in the next 2 years before the Dem's takeover and pull the plug).

While in Iowa, John McCain said on Saturday, "One of the things I would do, the first day I am President of the United States, is close Guantanamo Bay. I would close it and I would move those prisoners to Fort Leavenworth. It's become a symbol, which is very bad for America."

That's a direct quote from Senator McCain. At about 49 minutes into the video, his quote can be found in this C-Span "Road to the White House":

McCain said Monday the war in Iraq has been mismanaged for years and former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld will be remembered as one of the worst in history

Rumsfeld is a better man than McCain.

Rumsfeld would make a good candidate for POTUS.
