I like to think I see a number of movies each year - but I'm embarrassed to say that I haven't seen any of the films nominated for Best Picture.
I am planning on seeing "The Queen" though.
Hi Guennie.. I KNEW You would be here.. and I loved the Queen.
Saw it three times at theater. 2nd time as between my poor hearing & the accent, I missed MUCH of the dialog. Third time for the beauty of it.
I thought this was a very good year. A lot of wonderful films.

I’ve not seen any of the nominated movies but then I’ve not been out to the movies much this year.
I think Helen Mirren is an excellent actor and I very much want to see The Queen. I understand her portrayal of QE2 was very compelling and real human and sympathetic character.
The only other movie I’m interested in seeing is “Little Children". I never heard of it before today when I saw an interview with Kate Winslet with some clips.

The only movies I saw on the list were Little Miss Sunshine and The Queen. Watched them as well as The Flyboys on the same flight back to the US from Amsterdam to Minneapolis. I almost didn't watch The Queen, but I compelled myself anyway.
All three movies were excellent.
