This press release is very similar to one yesterday, but obviously is reporting another successful operation.

During an operation in Baghdad, Coalition Forces captured a suspected al-Qaeda in Iraq emir and three of his associates. I'm so glad that they found him in Baghdad, Iraq, instead of that other Baghdad where Coalition Forces are operating.
Is this "group" actually named "al-Qaeda in Iraq" rather than simply being "al-Qaeda" or is this a vain attempt to raise awareness there are "al-Qaeda" *in* Iraq?

An AQ emir? Who knew that had such a hierarchy. Regardless, give them the Saddam necktie.

They key to ending the insurgency was always simply creating lots and lots and lots of prison space. Keep arresting people until the violence stops. Screen the detainees for bad guys. End of problem.
