I don't quite know how to break this to you, but it doesn't matter if "my pants closure" is open. I'm a girrrrrl

The only way to combat pc nonsense is to be defiantly un-pc.

i feel a milestone has been achieved. or passed. or whatever happens with those things. weeping~ I'm proud of ya, man.

I passed a kidney stone once. If I passed a milestone, i'd be more than weeping.

Back before the internet was popular, there were the BBS/Fidonet relays. The one post I remember chastised somebody with "...can't use 'queer' except when referencing 'Queer Nation'...".

Where I work they have changed the name of the lowest review rating to "challenged performer". I guess something that made sense like, "does not meet requirements" would hurt our poor feelings.

Not being politically correct at all, I told my supervisor that if I ever got a "challenged performer" rating it would sound more like "you're retarded" than "does not meet requirements" would!

there's a big difference between beating a kid up and using a slang term... what's funny is that I've heard many a gay person say "that's so gay." it's the people who know and won't admit to themselves that homosexuality is weird and should be dealt with accordingly who take such offense to calling something "gay."

Vulgarity is not un-pc. Some of the most pc folks out there are decidedly vulgar.

My husband will say, "That's gay" about a lot of things. He used it to replace his "you're a commie" phrase, since people seem to have forgotten what a commie was.

I worked in a female-free environment (except a couple of secretaries who alone among the women I worked with were nice) for 17 years. I have worked in an environment with many women for the past five. I find the present experience inferior to the former one.
