4.2
Felt it in Reno? A 4.4 in Lafayette? I don't think so. I sure as heck felt nothing here in Sacramento (and shouldn't have).
I have been blessed...
Oh damn, the earthquake even screwed up myu post. One armed bandit! I stand by what I meant to say.
Doesnt seem to be connected to the Calavaras Fault, but it's in line with it. Not good if that one is gonna start moving, it's big enough to do some serious shaking.
It was a loud one, too.
Love your tag line. Visualize a miracle!
Unghhh
This, I'm guessing?
LOL Your bad what? Stay safe.

We felt it. I was standing out in the garage, when the ground suddenly started shaking. At the same time, I could hear things rattling on the shelves. I looked at my car, and it was rocking back and forth slightly. After about two seconds, it stopped, and that was it. No damage - nothing fell over, or anything like that. I think my pulse has finally returned to normal!!
Michael Moore must have decided to take up jogging.
....haha.....my "bed" that is.....
It was a big enough quake that the adrenaline gland pump some extra jolts of caffeine into my system...
Based on the epicenter note, I'm right about on top of it.
What's really funny is that I was just talking about the hike in the earthquake insurance for our units (from $14,000 to $40,000) with my next door neighbor who happens to be another geologist about 20 minutes before hand...
We're supposed to vote on it again since the rise is so big. We were saying "Crap, there goes the vote, it'll be 57-2 now"... (We don't believe we should have it, or should, at the worst, self insure, based on a variety of reasons).
I was a mile away from the 6.4 one in Northridge in '94 and I was shaken off the throne at 4:30 AM when that happened. A little light source helped me climb over the broken mess to find a bigger light source, and a wrench to shut off every gas main I could find. They were all sheared off.
Arf! If you felt an earthquake epicentered here all the way in Reno, don't even bother sending anyone, it'll be OVER...
Aftershock ... I did not feel this one - anyone else?
