I think in order for the globe to warm, there has to be less clouds. This would affect those affected by SAD even if they don't get out that much.

How, exactly? Clouds trap heat. A warmer planet will put more moisture in the air. Regardless, "warm" is a function of infrared, the remedy for SAD is in the ultraviolet. Plus you actually have to go stand outside in it. The only thing warm will buy in winter is more days that are pleasant enough to be outside, if you're lucky enough to be able to go outside during the daylight hours. This will backfire, of course, in the summertime because it will be too unpleasant to be outside when the sun is shining.
Less clouds=more heat=more evaporation=more clouds=less heat=less evaporation=less clouds and on and on...
