Reading Hillary Rodham's hidden thesis (Quotes from Free Republic)
MSNBC ^ | 3/2/07 | Bill Dedman

Posted on 03/02/2007 5:01:02 AM PST by AZRepublican

WELLESLEY, Mass. — The senior thesis of Hillary D. Rodham, Wellesley College class of 1969, has been speculated about, spun, analyzed, debated, criticized and defended. But rarely has it been read, because for the eight years of Bill Clinton’s presidency it was locked away.

As forbidden fruit, the writings of a 21-year-old college senior, examining the tactics of radical community organizer Saul D. Alinsky, have gained mythic status among her critics — a “Rosetta Stone,” in the words of one, that would allow readers to decode the thinking of the former first lady and 2008 presidential candidate.

Despite the fervent interest in the thesis, few realize that it is no longer kept under lock and key. As MSNBC.com found, it is available to anyone who visits the archive room of the prestigious women’s college outside Boston. With Clinton’s opponents in the 2008 presidential race looking for the next “Swift Boat” attack ad, and the senator herself trying to cast off her liberal image, Clinton's 92-page thesis is certain to be read and reread by opposition researchers and reporters visiting the campus.

I'm not critical of you, other folks here or anywhere else for that matter referring to it. I'm just saying that what she wrote as a student is strategically speaking a loser as a campaign issue.

Like I said in my post, it's valuable insofar as it gives us insight where she's coming from. But most people around the country would be quite loathe to be held accountable for what they wrote as university students & most around the country would see it as below-the-belt unfair & the tactic'd probably deliver her more sympathy than anything else.

Why do it if, as we all well know, she's got reams of socialist hooey she's professed support for this past year to nail her with? Why muddle the issue & give others the opportunity to say her opposition's having to resort to her work as a student almost half a century ago in order to condemn her?

No, they were much more benign than that. Outside of "legalize pot", I don't really remember anything I'd consider significan now.

My father was a 3 war Marine, so you can believe me when I say I was not out there marching with Hanoi Jane.

The fact she's a student of Saul Alinsky is nothing new, and doesn't come as a surprise to many of us who have been paying attention to the realm of politics for any length of time.  The real conspiracy is the left-winged media's attempt to shut down criticism, and to make believe all of this was just some false charge brought on by the right.

The re-emergence of Hillary Rodham Clinton

If you want the short course on Hilary, and Mr. Bill, just rent the old Penthouse film, 'Caligula.'

Hmm.

Based on the appearance of Hillary's ankles, as well as the fact that she's in the Senate, I suggest a new nickname for her:

"Caligula's Horse".

The thesis became available in 2001, according to the article. It's been available all these years, but no one bothered to read it, according to the article.

MSNBC is claiming that the Thesis is 92 pages but BKO says the version she read was 75 pages. Is MSNBC going to claim that 19 pages were footnotes?

Why do I get the feeling that what is available is not the original?

Thanks for the ping. The snippet they showed from the top of the thesis doesn't look like it was done in Times Roman font ... but I could be mistaken about that.

It looks like she just did. I'll wager Hillary was not surprised by this MSNBC article, and that MSNBC was confident that publishing this article would not garner Hillary's wrath.

This is the time of the political season to be cleaning out one's closet.

True. I've changed quite a bit but I was a Christian back then and pretty conservative. I'm just way more conservative now. I wonder if she's really change all that much.

The worst part of college papers is not only are a lot of college kids in the "brainwash" mode but sometimes they feel compelled to write stuff just to go along with the professor for a good grade. It takes a lot of guts and chutzpah to write what one really thinks; damn the professor or what not.

..Great Minds....I was thinking that SOMEONE must have picked up the inconsistency. At least BKO quotes some passages from what she read. I would be curious to see if those passages exist in the copy being made available. I have a hunch that it is a re-written thesis based upon the original with the one available now not as politically damaging in content.

It raises some interesting questions but there is a chain of custody morass here. Given the recent and not so recent shenanigans of those in Hillary's thrall, If that thesis was in any way damaging to her goals, it's been cleansed like a Stalin-era photo.

Sandy Berger
FBI Files
Rose Law Firm records
CBS TANG memos
...and lord knows what else

Just raising these kind of doubts as to authenticity is going to be greeted in the manner of the reaction one would get questioning the JFK assassination, Roswell, The Knight Templar and the Temple mount.

Besides, it's not like anyone is ever going to test paper and ink. There will never be proof.

Ah but Hillary was and is a true believer. Look what she did as editor of the Yale Law review. She along with Marion Wright Edleman came up with the concept of children's rights which provide the state a means of entry into the family. The Chinese Government said during her visit that there was much that they could learn from Hillary. Her whole MO on health has not changed. So her senior thesis could probably be considered her Mien Kampf.

You notice the NFL size suit jackets, she wears? Those freak'n tents could shelter a Darfur tribe! If she was Secret Service, she'd have a crew served .50 and a two cans of ammo underneath and maybe a dirtbike.

Notice how the networks even Fox, all get close in shots? I suppose most people watch the news at dinner time, so it's probably not a conspiracy to hid her Water-Buffaloness, as much as to keep families and dogs from puking.
