Transport will be a deluxe 56 seat intercity bus with airline type seats, bathroom, etc. A generous donor is providing bottled water, coffee and snacks for the way down. But feel free to bring a little something, bag a lunch if you like. Here's the schedule: Depart Bordentown, NJ 5:00 AM Depart West side of 30th St Station 6:15 AM (West side is across from the secure parking lot, the side with the new glass building. The side that faces what had been the Evening Bulletin building.) Arrive Vietnam Wall 9:00 AM Depart Vietnam Wall 4:00 PM Return (approximate) 30th Street 7:00 PM, Bordentown 8:00 PM Have 18 free seats available for Freepers. Act now because demand by veterans groups is tremendous and my have to give up those seats to veterans due to that demand. Second bus is in the works, but sign up before THAT fills up. Plus those seats will be $30-$40. Contact me by Freepmail (Private Reply) or at raouldeming@hotmail.com
Where's Bordertown in NJ? My buddy's Parkinson's really kicked in last week, I need another way just in case.
I just need to know if the PATH/NJ Transit goes there... then i'm home free.
Someone asked the date, it's March 17th.
Let me look at AMTRAK to Philly.
I could see that you get back to NYC for free. The bus and the NJ Transit ride to Penn Station would be free.
Let me check buses.
Would arrange to get you to our bus, treat you to breakfast at McDonalds and get you back to Penn Station free.
Are you suggesting the entire wedding come to DC?
Shur...
Just accepted your gracious offer. Please check your Freepmail.
I'm one of those Freepers. Can't believe I'm really going!
Could you please post the contact for mailing in contributions to help with the overall expense? I'm sure many who can't attend would like to make a donation, including those of us who are lucky enough to get a free ride. :)
Isn't zoomie close by?
I am just out of NYC in Montclair.
There are buses from Port Authority right to the corner of my street. about a 15-20 min ride.
Posted here!
Any chance there's room for a newly Saturday free military mrs?
Sheesh, I'm in south Jersey, 45 minutes from Philly, if anyone needs a ride!!! I've got lots of room, I drive an SUV!!!
Yes, Freepmail me.
Bus seats from Philly/Bordentown for Freepers signing up with me are free, but going fast. If you must insist on sending a contribution, here's the contact information, but there is absolutely NO requirement to do so.

Thanks, piece of candy little girl, ride in my bus....
Okay, I'm in! My brother NorthCoastConservative will be joining me. See you on the 17th!
See you folks then.
Hey Doc, my brother and I are going to take a car down to DC. See ya at The Wall.
Add another FReeper lurker to the list. My brother is coming to DC too.
If as many people are coming as I believe, we may never find each other.
THEY COME PREPARED TO DO BATTLE and they are well organized.
Seriously, it's not just bandanas over the faces, they have BMX or hockey pads and protection on under their clothes, they bring improvised weapons like D-Cell batteries in socks, flammable liquids in unmarked water bottles, etc.; stuff that can be quickly assembled or disassembled into innocent components carried by multiple persons.
If their target is the Memorial, they will likely create a diversion to get the police away from the Memorial. If they want the Gathering of Eagles folks away, they will create a physical confrontation with them in one area, hoping to draw the rest over and then they'll hit the unprotected area. If you're protecting an area, stay at that area. When your adrenalin gets going, you'll want to go help, DON'T DO IT. The Eagles need to have people free from protection assignments to respond to these diversions so the Memorial is not left unprotected.
They use cell phones, hand radios, police scanners to keep their people informed. They will have folks on bikes or skates so they can move quickly from one spot to another (unprotected) spot.
Oh and most important: As tempting as it will be, do not let the black block folks draw you into any violence. Philosophically, you don't need to lower yourself to their level. Practically of course you can defend yourself, but be forwarned that the black blockers will turn that around on you too.
They will have people whose only job is to get photos and video. Any pics or vids of you defending yourself will never see the light of day. Any pic or video that can be construed as you initiating violence or "over" defending yourself will be on the media and attached to a criminal complaint, a lawsuit, etc.
Because of this it is important for the Eagles folks to have assigned pic and video people too. The black blockers will injure themselves and blame it on you. They will start s--t with you and only film you responding. They have lots of free time to edit their videos and pics then distribute them to anyone who will look.
The DC cops, Capitol Police, and Parks Police already know all this from experience.
I'm on the other side of the country and can't be there. Please pass this info on to the Gathering of Eagles folks. The more prepared they are, the less chance of success from anarchists. It's important they don't succeed because if they do it just emboldens them to stoop even lower for their next "action."

No one has the Constitutional right to desecrate a monument.
Not a Gas Guzzling SUV!!!! lol
Look forward to seeing you and others there on the 17th!!
God Speed and a safe trip to you and yours
Elderly and incapacitated... first thought was to overnight in D.C. on Friday (March 16th) and hit the Mall from there, but have promised to meet our daughter returning to LaGuardia on Saint Paddy's afternoon. Always something, but we on the Jersey Shore do wish you well. Assaults on our American fighting-men's Memorial make one yearn for thunderbolts to hurl. God Bless America!
Thank you so much Leo. And yes, it is a gas guzzler!!! See you on the 17th. Safe trip to you too!
See you there. Hope we can find each other. Looks to be a big turnout.
Looking forward to it!!!!
See you there!
