"Some pretty strange stuff at the end of the vote count. Out of the last 100 votes, McCain apparently got 48 of them."

Calling the gang to lookat som strange numbers.

This is the kind of manipulation that an honest candidate is up against in America?

As Tom Guy said....

There is more that smells here than barnyard straw.

We'll have to see what's up with those numbers. Something's rotten in the state of Denmark!

Something stinks here. Personally I don't know even a single McCain-supporting Republican. He's abysmal on the 1st amendement (CFR), the 2nd Amendment (F- rating from GOA), and is currently teaming with the ultimate liberal's liberal (Kennedy) to obliterate our borders and grant amnesty to tens of millions of future Democrat voters.

This McCain lunatic is the enemy, pure and simple.

I don't know enough about how the poll was conducted, precinct demographics, etc., to jump to the conclusion that there was any sort of cheating going on; but the leapfrog victory of McCain, occurring as it did in conjunction with a "rain delay," would certainly make me want to take a close enough look at the process to make sure that it was on the up-and-up.

From the Hotline

Sen. John McCain The most advanced field team in the state for a WH ’08 campaign, McCain’s exploratory cmte bought a round of targeted robo calls to supporters in preparation for tonight. According to spokesperson Adam Temple, the cmte also sent out a letter from SC AG Henry McMaster to supporters in the area urging them to go to the straw poll. Last visit to the region: Feb. 18. Paid SC staffers: 11. SC volunteers: “Hundreds” have signed up statewide in the past few weeks, according to Temple.

Pretty sad showing with all this manpower...

ROFL! That story gets exagerated more with every post!
Care to give a source on that one (HINT: You won't be able to!)

Why do you think that is a negative? It most certainly is NOT!

Volunteers are what makes this work.

Yes, I will go find the source and get back to you.

YEs, it's interesting, but I highly doubt that any of the professors are Republicans.

Hunter’s success surprised some political pundants. The successful drive was headed with an all-volunteer staff fueled by Hunter’s family and a cadre of inspired South Carolina volunteers. http://www.theconservativevoice.com/article/23206.html

Great, we'll have someone else to split the RINO vote.

Quite a few at Converse College were definite Rinos 10 years ago when I attended. I agree with you on Spartanburg Tech, and USC-Spartanburg. Wofford and SMC, I don't know.

This is great news for the Duncan camp!

I tried to show the other day, by analyzing the GOP_USA poll results, how Duncan is arguably the strongest candidate out there, in a poll which measures voters perception of the candidates ON THE ISSUES.

Its just a matter of face time, air time, name recognition for Duncan to 'catch fire', and for dynamics to take over..

What happened here with McCain at the end is what statisticians would call...highly unlikely.

Don't let anyone try to downplay this, and spin the fact that Duncan had a couple people "camp out" there for a few weeks.

This is big for Duncan Hunter.

Remember, the Rudy folks have been telling everyone that Rudy was the only guy who could raise the kind of money necessary to compete on the national level against Hillary.

The rebuttal to that argument can be found by analyzing what each candidate SPENT here in SC, and what VOTES were produced. Remember, its all about VOTER TURNOUT...getting ALL the registered pubs out to the polls.

Look at the ratio of VOTES / DOLLARS SPENT.

Ill bet Duncan just blew everyone out of the water in this category.

This kind of spoils your raving last night about, "All we have heard was that Rudy would lose in SC. The fact is he won! "

Welcome to the world of politics!

I don't think we can any longer count on fair elections. The Rats, DBM and liberal fellow travelers in education, unions and elsewhere, have been working very hard to make sure they can manipulate voting results.

I count 726 with a statistical three-way tie for first (each with 22 percent of the total).

Yes, correct. Higher numbers now that all the precincts have been counted.
