"Irreconcilable differences have arisen," Condit's newly estranged lawyer, Cynthia Becker, explained Wednesday to a federal judge in Arizona.

TRANSLATION: Her bills aren't getting paid.

Thanks for the post. Haven't heard much about the guy since 9/11 blew him off the front page.

It is really BAD when even a lawyer will not touch you. Speaks volumes.

I had wondered what ever became of him. I thought he became a welder, or was planning on becoming one.

He sure has fallen low, and dragged his family with him.

What an arrogant b*stard. He was DEFINITELY involved in SOME way in Chandra's disappearance. And here he is still suing for defamation?? How I wish Chandra could talk.

She was madly in love with him and her internship in DC was ending. He was stringing her along and married as well as seeing his other women (the flight attendant for sure). She wanted more, and confessed their relationship to her sympathetic aunt.

Condit required her to be with him with no identification on her. She was all packed up and ready to leave for California. Condit's wife was in town staying with him. On her last day alive, Chandra was on her computer looking up Baskin Robbins (which now Condit is franchising?) when she got a phone call. She looked up directions to Rock Creek Park. She left her ID at home and went out. She called her aunt and left a message that she had exciting news. Her bones were found at the park a year later. On the day in question, Condit gave the police a timeline that included known appointments that took place on another day. Thus there was a long block of time around Chandra's disappearance when Condit had no alibi.

A couple of days later, Condit, who had never missed a vote in years, missed a day's worth of votes, and made a phone call to his flight attendant friend from a Luray McDonald's, in the middle of nowhere.

A couple of days after that, when police were searching his home and office, Condit was spotted miles from DC throwing a McDonald's bag into a trashcan. The bag was found to contain an expensive watch given to him by yet another girlfriend, the watch being rare enough to be traceable.

Guilty of something? We report; you decide.

We know he was guilty of being the only Congressperson smiling during their impromptu singing of G-d Bless America on the Steps on 9/11.

"Condit's lawyer wants out, says case doomed
Former congressman vows to pursue lawsuit anyway"

Following the links leads to another article about another lawyer wanting out of another case.

Sounds like rats leaving a sinking ship.

Gary Condit...the only person in America who benefitted from the attacks of 9-11.

I'll never forget, like the mantra that Saddam had no WMD's grew, every damn senator and rep and political pundit would mouth the empty phrase..."not that I think Gary had anything to do with Chandra's death".

WELL I WAS CONVINCED FROM DAY ONE THAT CONDIT HAD EVERY DAMN THING TO DO WITH CHANDRA'S DEATH AND I couldn't quite get over how easily those lying words slid off their tongues.

Cause folks, EVERY ONE OF THEM thought Gary kill Chandra then and likely they think it now. For where is Chandra's killer...they've not found anyone else yet have they? Obviously Chandra wasn't done in by a serial killer as there haven't been more bodies found in Rock Creek Park.

The odds of Chandra having been killed by a random drifter in a one-time killing event....at .0000000000001%. The odds of Chandra having been killed by her congress critter lover who was last seen with her going to Rock Creek Park and in a questionable, shaky relationship....about 99.999999999%.

Not that I think for a minute that Gary had anything to do with it.......

Guy got a free murder. He should be grateful.
