The only good (and smart) thing Arlen Spector ever did in his entire Senate career was to champion Clarence Thomas. Justice Thomas would probably be filibustered if he were to come before the Senate today.

Did he? I guess it must of been before he became deranged. I know that John Danforth of MO was also a very strong supporter of Justice Thomas. I've read bits and pieces of some of his decisions, and from what I've seen, the man is a genius, nothing even close to some of what the MSM has written about his and his decisions.
