That first article was the first thing that came to mind. Know if the dam is under construction or is expected to drown the site that the Guardian is worried we're gonna bomb?

On this one, I really can't say I care. If the Iranians don't care enough whey should I?

Awww, gee, darn, maybe they should take picture so they won't be totally lost. I think that stopping Iran's nuclear production is so much more important to the life on earth than the destruction of it's ' rich architecture '.

Heh... the only thing the Guardian is worried about is that the single party totalitarian state / worldwide caliphate may not be established.

Hurbris such as theirs can be deadly, because they think they can prevent the rise of a worldwide caliphate without ever picking up the sword.

Personally, I thought the World Trade Center towers were part of America's rich architectural heritage.

If Iran supports these enemies of my country, I don't see why her architectural history or historical monuments are worth more than ours.

There ain't no 'King's X' in war. Ask the Japanese or Dredeners.

You folks should make it a point to see these things while they're still here.....

I was telling my wife just a month or so ago that I really wanted to see the Smithsonian and the Air and Space Museum before they get blown up.....

Iran's rich architecture and rare treasures threatened by possible US strikes poor decisions on the part of Iran's leadership

There, now the question of accountability has been fixed.

Tell the Iranians to move the antiquities. TS if they don't. No need for troops in Iran, just precision nuke bunker busters; there that should allay the fears of the left.

These idiotic twits at the Guardian are just laying the foundation for later, after we hit a few sites.

Just for clarification, nuclear sites NOT ancient sites.

No, but hopefully soon they will meet the criteria to be called "ruins."

If we still had neutron bombs in our inventory, we could ease their fears about the buildings. The people on the other hand...

My sentiments exactly. Kind of like human pest control. Kill the human rats and cockroaches and leave the real estate untouched. To bad we don't have them anymore. Oh well, bring out the H bombs.

The Persians should be the ones worrying.

It's their heritage; let them do something about it.

all the antiquities in the world aren't worth the life of a single servicemember. Not one. I'd like to say I'm sorry about Monte Cassino but I'm not.

BUMP to that!

Like a give a red rat's ass about any of their heritage or buildings. I'm for making the entire Middle East a friggin' fossil index!

they show how many of Iran's nuclear plants are perilously close to ancient cultural sites.

Leave it to al-Guardian to ignore how the mullahs did this purposely and blame the US (in advance)for any damage done in airstrikes. Remember the supposed looting of museaums in Iraq and the howling of the media? Only to find out the curators had removed the artifacts ahead of the war.

Iran can easily resolve this risk by stopping their nuclear program and becoming completely transparent to inspections to verify it. In fact, that would solve a whole number of problems.
