March 6, 2007 REID STATEMENT ON THE LIBBY VERDICT

Washington, DC — Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid today released the following statement on news that a jury has found Lewis "Scooter" Libby, former Chief of Staff to Vice President Dick Cheney, guilty of perjury and obstruction of justice.

"I welcome the jury's verdict. It's about time someone in the Bush Administration has been held accountable for the campaign to manipulate intelligence and discredit war critics. Lewis Libby has been convicted of perjury, but his trial revealed deeper truths about Vice President Cheney's role in this sordid affair. Now President Bush must pledge not to pardon Libby for his criminal conduct."

What a jerk. That wasn't what Libby was convicted of...so Reid is simply lying.

I look forward to Reid's time in court when he gets indicted on his land deals in New Mexico.

I will welcome the time when it's YOUR turn to take the Perp Walk for the bribery and scandal related to your sordid family's business "affairs" in Nevada SENATOR!

Unfortunately, Bush does not have what it takes to pardon this man, until after the Nov. '08 election.

The Dems have won another round in their ongoing PR campaign against truth and honesty in the presentation of facts to the public.

If Libby or anyone else in the Adminsitration had been convicted of say.....walking against red light.....that would have been the reaction of the Dims.

It's not the crime, it's the conviction.....

Exactly. Where was this sanctimonious SOB when Clinton was doing his Whitewater and campaign tricks (not to mention any female who could fog a mirror). What did he say when what's-his-face got caught with secret documents stuffed in his pants and claimed "I don't know how they got there?"

Talk about "politics as usual"...

"the campaign to the campaign to manipulate intelligence"

Telling the truth on why Wilson was sent is manipulating intelligence?

Don't worry, Dingy Harry, Bush won't even pardon the Border Patrol. Please continue your fabricated show trials and fishing expeditions.

Bush should have pardoned Libby right after Fitzgerald went after him.

I was going to make a comment about Harry Reid, but it turns out that if you use the phrase "traitorous faggot" you have to go into rehab.
