I meant that she must have a very low opinion of nearly everyone to try and sell the "'Faggot' isn't offensive to gays" line. That's so blatantly, obviously false as to be offensive to the intelligence of the reader.
Most people have a very good understanding of the meaning of the word. It's a spit in the face to claim otherwise.
I don't know. When I was a kid and we asked someone to do something and they said no, we said, "what are you, a faggot or something?" Or, "you are such a fag."
Heck, we didn't even know what a gay person was. But we knew that a faggot was a wuss.
