That was on a website that I frequent. I just remembered that he was one of the few Senators to support McCain in 2000 against then Gov Bush. Sorry to post the facts! What does it have to do with Rudy?
It was Thompson's support of McCain in 2000 and some of his comments then I have a problem with when he was one of four Senators to support McCain over Bush. CFR just happened to be part of the paragraph.

Very very, interestion. He would jump up to my A list of candidates. Hagel is on my F list. McQueeg is on my D list.
I don't know what I would do if the choice turned out to be between Hitlary and Hagel. I dread the thought.

Howzabout Santorum? Nothing in his closet. Straight as an arrow. I'd vote for him now! He was my senator until the idiots in PA voted him out in exchange for the 'man' who ran on nothing.

I think Fred Thompson would make a wonderful VP candidate, running with Rudy. That ticket would be unbeatable, in my opinion.

"If Fred enters the race its the end of McCaain and Romney."
And Rudy fruity...

He's not perfect. He's the kind of person where you would have to make some compromise, but it's what they meant when they defined the word compromise, not the "sacrifice all your principles" kind of compromise you'd have to do for Rudy.
Yep

Baker has been a mentor to Thompson since before the Senate's Watergate hearings, for which Baker hired Thompson as majority counsel and for which Thompson earned fame for having Baker ask the key question that led to President Richard Nixon's downfall: "What did the president know and when did he know it?" He's a Howard Baker conservative. A RINO lite.
They are bringing out the big guns, same clown that gave us GW.

Who's trashing?
The Clinton's are running. Dump the dirt early and vet.
Fred's a great guy, but he ain't perfect. Might as well see if he can at least pass the hyper religious ninny test.

Indeed, I don't think that any Republican would have a huge objection to the guy.

IMHO a Thompson\"Anybody but rudi" would be just as
unbeatable.

If he hadn't dated anybody from 1985 until 2002, people on here would be screaming he's gay.

I'm not going to hold it against Thompson that he supported McCain. A friend.
My point was Rudy is on record as supporting CFR.
To: Parley Baer; jellybean
It's unthinkable.
I'm still trying to figure out who Hagel thinks his constituents might be.
See my tagline! And I've had it on there for quite a while......actually, I can't even remember when we started this, in a joking manner, can you jellybean?
