Scientists Receive Death Threats For Questioning Man’s Role in Global Warming
NewsBusters.org ^ | Noel Sheppard

Think those advancing anthropogenic global warming theories are serious about their views? Well, an article from Sunday’s Telegraph should scare every person around the world about the zealotry and danger surrounding this issue (emphasis mine throughout):

Scientists who questioned mankind's impact on climate change have received death threats and claim to have been shunned by the scientific community.

They say the debate on global warming has been "hijacked" by a powerful alliance of politicians, scientists and environmentalists who have stifled all questioning about the true environmental impact of carbon dioxide emissions.

Shocked? Astounded? That’s only the beginning:

Timothy Ball, a former climatology professor at the University of Winnipeg in Canada, has received five deaths threats by email since raising concerns about the degree to which man was affecting climate change.

One of the emails warned that, if he continued to speak out, he would not live to see further global warming.

Why is this happening in Ball’s view:

"Western governments have pumped billions of dollars into careers and institutes and they feel threatened," said the professor.

"I can tolerate being called a sceptic because all scientists should be sceptics, but then they started calling us deniers, with all the connotations of the Holocaust. That is an obscenity. It has got really nasty and personal."

Other well-known skeptics agreed with Ball:

Richard Lindzen, the professor of Atmospheric Science at Massachusetts Institute of Technology - who also appeared on the documentary - recently claimed: "Scientists who dissent from the alarmism have seen their funds disappear, their work derided, and themselves labelled as industry stooges."

"Consequently, lies about climate change gain credence even when they fly in the face of the science."

Dr Myles Allen, from Oxford University, agreed. He said: "The Green movement has hijacked the issue of climate change. It is ludicrous to suggest the only way to deal with the problem is to start micro managing everyone, which is what environmentalists seem to want to do."

Nigel Calder, a former editor of New Scientist, said: "Governments are trying to achieve unanimity by stifling any scientist who disagrees. Einstein could not have got funding under the present system."

It’s getting scary out there, folks.

Growing up, in the 50's and 60's,I spent my summers at our family's Fish Camp on Mary Walker Bayou right off the Pascagoula River, on the MS Gulf Coast As you can imagine, we had tons of mosquitos! The 'sprayman' used to drive through the camp on a regular basis all summer long and we used to run right behind him inside that sweet smelling cloud laughing our heads off! NONE of us has had any medical problems that might even be remotely related to that!

If you drive to work, or take public transportation, see if you can find the books you want to read on Cassette or CD! I went through a spell where I was spending a lot of time in the car, driving our daughter to and from classes at the Community college. She and I enjoyed listening to books on tape and CD during that time. I got all the books from our local library system.

If you have an MP3 player, you may even be able to download books for free from your library system's website. We have that feature in our system, but I don't have a player for it. If your local library doesn't have much in the way of audio books, see if you can have them sent from other libraries in your system.

Why do I get the felling that Tom Clancey's fictional book "Rainbow-Six" is beginning to play out before our very eyes in real life.

"Rainbow Six" was one scary read. But I LOVED how the eco-terrorist perpetrators of the plot to wipe out most of humanity were dealt with at the end.

Dump 'em in the middle of the rainforest with no technology and let them live in their "paradise"! Classic.

That just goes to show us that the Euro-"carbon" racket is an organized, international criminal effort against freer countries.

""I can tolerate being called a sceptic because all scientists should be sceptics, but then they started calling us deniers, with all the connotations of the Holocaust. That is an obscenity. It has got really nasty and personal.""

That's confirmation of western Europe's return to supporting Nazism with the "man-made global warming" racket, as Nazis do project their own attitudes on their intended victims.

You know what I have told the True Believers when they say something like that? Simple.

I tell them that if it is that bad and getting worse as fast as they believe, then they should start enjoying life, because it is way past time for anything to help. Start partying and prepare to kiss your butt goodby.

With the publication of the article in Science, I gained significant credibility in the community of scientists working on climate change. They thought I was one of them.... One of them let his guard down. A major person working in the area of climate change and global warming sent me an astonishing email that said: "We have to get rid of the Medieval Warm Period.">-- Nir J Shaviv

Amazing! Like in 1984.

Here is one place to go to. It isn't the one that I found...should have saved it but couldn't at that time. Read the information explaining the chart. http://www.grida.no/climate/vital/17.htm

Tell them that you bought tons of cheap land in western Nevada and Arizona, so your granchildren can sell their beachfront property and invest their billions in carbon dioxide offsets and private jets. They'll be just like just like Al Gore.

It won't help, but it is fun to imagine the little greenies' heads exploding like the guys in Mars Attacks.
