Pratt makes a good argument. Even if the reader does not agree with RTC, the list of jihadi fruit loop troopers who decided to start killing infidels. I suppose Richard Reed didn't make the list because he didn't actually kill anyone.
I found some other references to Sudden Jihad Syndrome in other threads when I searched for this article. I'll go back to those other threads and add the keywords sjs and suddenjihadsyndrome.

I carried a gun before permits were available. My dad always said..."
I'd rather bail you out of Jail, then come identify you at the Morgue. Now, I have a concealed-carry permit, and my baby goes everywhere with me

I carry everywhere. No matter if there is a posting on not allowing CW permit holders. It comes down to a basic principle I have.
I refuse to be anyone's victim at anytime in any place I choose to go. I do not cause trouble, hassle other people, or be a nusiance. I am a dead shot have been shot at and have seen the elephant. I do not fear my death, but woe to anyone who tries to murder another in my presence.

It is time that Islam is outlawed as a religion. It is not a religion, and its belief in violence is a threat to our safety.

The following is not being apologetic, it is being critical of bad/stupid statistics:
The statistics and conclusion are non-sequitors. 13 SJSs over a decade out of an alleged source of 7M and a target of 300M, slightly more than one per year average, do not warrant dissing millions.
I understand the what-ifs, but making a mental leap from a dozen or so to tens of thousands is an unwarranted stretch. If we compared other groups of comparable sizes, we would find a proportional number of similar crimes.
Swimming pools are a far larger problem.
Restore RKBA, carry, and go fuss about something else.

Another idea, something I have done.
Put the local FBI phone number in your cell phone memory.
Never know when you might need it.

About a year ago, a man got on I-20 here in north Louisiana, heading east in the westbound lanes. It was after dark. He had not gone more than a couple of miles when he ran headon into a westbound car, killing himself and the female driver of the other car. He was employed as a technician by a state university 5 miles away, so undoubtedly was familiar with the road.
The newspaper obituary, with photo, showed him to be a clean-looking black man, late 30s, Navy veteran. His funeral was held in a Protestant church, but the suffix "-el" was added to his name. Here is the mystery: If he was truly an observant Muslim, alcohol and drugs would have to be ruled out as a factor in the accident. What else is left? Am I being paranoid to wonder if this was a minor-league act of terrorism?

Put another way, our current restrictions on concealed carry on the books in most states facilitate murder by tying the hands of victims. The law should be on our side, not on the side of the bad guys.Put it this way...those who wrote the laws banning CC are accessories to murder and display depraved indifference to the safety and lives of the People when they pass such laws.
Hold the "lawmakers" criminally liable for conspiracy to commit murder and complicity in murder when their "laws" result in the deaths and injuries of innocents and sentence them to the noose, chair, chamber or firing squad.
