It was the Perisans who put the zero on paper before the Hindus.

Looks like I'm going to have to go check this flick out. Anything that irritates the Iranians can't be half bad.

Wasn't that battle waaaaay before Mohammad and Islam even existed?
So why are they offended over something that happend to ancient ancestors who were invading another country?
Oh, they are muzzies, nevermind.

" 'The film depicts Iranians as demons, without culture, feeling or humanity, who think of nothing except attacking other nations and killing people,' Ayende-No said in its article Tuesday."
Oddly enough, had recent dealings with these nasty little wogs not been so repulsive and distasteful, I would probably have erred on the side of caution for fear of offending. In light of recent events and in regard to Ayende-No's statement I must pose the question, and his point is? Islam's behavior is demonic, without culture, feeling or humanity, and you don't think about anything but attacking other nations and killing people. What's his beef?

I'm shocked. Islamists are outraged over a cartoon again. Shocking.

Those rug jockeys are certainly touchy. I would like to see Hollywood come out with "The Last Temptation of Muhammad" or "Oh Allah!" and find out if they're as tough your average American Christian.

Now we need a film maker to make one about Mohammed with his queer boyfriend who adopted a pig. "Porkback Mountin'"??

Xerxes was so exasperated with the god of the sea, so Herodotus tells us, that he commanded his slaves to whip the sea with chains. Oh and he beheaded all the bridge builders.

"In Iran, the movie hasn't opened and probably never will, given the government's restrictions on Western films, though one paper said bootleg DVDs were already available."
Complaining about something they're not supposed to see in the first place. I wonder if Amonkeydinnerjacket hung his cultural advisor for viewing it after he complained.

Ummm isn't that exactly what mooslimbs...want to do to Israel? Cyrus considered the greatest king that Persia ever had was noted for his kindness toward Jews. He freed all Jewish slaves and allowed them to live in Persia as guests. Ironic isn't it?

"The hit American movie "300" has angered Iranians" Okay, I'm sure there is a down-side here, but I just can't seem to think of it...

Cyrus considered the greatest king that Persia ever had was noted for his kindness toward Jews. One would almost expect the Muslim to protest Xerxes and leave us alone.

Read The Anabasis by Xenophon and you'll find that the Persians were outraged by Greek tactics and and military cohesion in the 4th century B.C. too.

Historical note; There were no Muslims, Mohammedans or Islamists at the time of Cyrus.....or Xerxes or Artaxerxes. There really weren't any Arabs to speak of either.
Even later, Medina, the muslim holy city wasn't muslim prior to Mohammed's raids and pillage. It had a large Jewish and Christian population.
