There was also a bit of bare flesh in the film & the viewing by the cultural adviser brings to mind the accidental TV broadcast of an X-rated film years ago. The television station's phone lines were jammed with complaints, soon as the film was *over*.
The key Persians were played by black actors, so I'm kinda waiting for complaints by the usual race card players, since there's no ability to claim it was due to historical accuracy.

The ragheads would be wise to close their traps, for as John Paul Jones once said, "I have not yet begun to fight." When one voice from American people does begin to fight, the ragheads and their vile cult will be history in a matter of hours. These ragheads again would be wise to shut their traps, for Americans will only take so much.

It was the Perisans who put the zero on paper before the Hindus.
Citation please? Most sources indicate India.
And prior to Zoroaster, I believe the Persians shared some of the same religious beliefs as the proto-Hindus, brought by the same Aryans.

It's pathetic...Iranians get offended for a potential 'insult' to their country, yet American liberals deliberately make films to insult their country (Fahrenheit 9/11, An Inconvenient Truth)
I'm not saying 300 is an insult to Iran, I actuallly think it's rather accurate: invading another country without a justified cause and trying to exterminate everyone in their path...sounds like radical Islam to me.

There were no Muslims, Mohammedans or Islamists at the time of Cyrus.....or Xerxes or Artaxerxes
Correct. Mohammed was born in the year ?634...well it was 600-something. '300' is supposed to take place 2500 years ago. Iran should read up on its own history before they go mouthing off.

Iranians living in the U.S. and Europe will not be indifferent about this obvious insult."
And WHY do Iranians live in the US, hmm? Because they wanted to get OUT of their native country where the Islamofascists ARE "without humanity" and "think only of killing people", as it was put in the article.

"The film depicts Iranians as demons, without culture, feeling or humanity, who think of nothing except attacking other nations and killing people," Ayende-No said in its article Tuesday.
...and how does Ahmanutjob or whatever his name is portray Americans?
They have no room to complain about this when they show their own enemies as being just the same. Hipocrisy among the far left once again...

They didn't invent the zero, they stole it from the Hindus.

The key Persians were played by black actors, so I'm kinda waiting for complaints by the usual race card players, since there's no ability to claim it was due to historical accuracy.??? Xerxes was played by a Brazilian actor, who was obviously of mixed-race, neither of the two "emissary" important speaking roles at the site of the battle were played by actors who were obviously of sub-Saharan African descent either. The only one who was obviously of "Black" origin was the nasty-mouthed messenger who went down the cistern. Thaty's only 25%, not all...
