Arab Fable: The Camel's Nose In The Tent
14 March 2007 | Self

Posted on 03/14/2007 5:20:23 AM PDT by COBOL2Java

The Camel's Nose In The Tent.

One cold night, as an Arab sat in his tent, a camel gently thrust his nose under the flap and looked in. "Master," he said, "let me put my nose in your tent. It's cold and stormy out here." "By all means," said the Arab, "and welcome" as he turned over and went to sleep.

A little later the Arab awoke to find that the camel had not only put his nose in the tent but his head and neck also. The camel, who had been turning his head from side to side, said, "I will take but little more room if I place my forelegs within the tent. It is difficult standing out here." "Yes, you may put your forelegs within," said the Arab, moving a little to make room, for the tent was small.

Finally, the camel said, "May I not stand wholly inside? I keep the tent open by standing as I do." "Yes, yes," said the Arab. "Come wholly inside. Perhaps it will be better for both of us." So the camel crowded in. The Arab with difficulty in the crowded quarters again went to sleep. When he woke up the next time, he was outside in the cold and the camel had the tent to himself.

Freedom of religion is one of the central tenets of this country. I have vowed to fight all enemies to the Constitution, foreign and domestic. Anyone who would infringe upon that central right - to worship as one pleases - is my enemy. You, sir, are an enemy.

You are swearing an allegiance to the Constitution of the United States. In that constitution is the freedom of religion. However, the freedom to practice a religion who does not pledge that same allegiance to the constitution before their religion is an enemy of that constitution.

That's the reply EVERYONE gives. Let me add that Deuteronomy is in the Old Testament and not the New. Let me also add that the rest of us find the idea anathema to our beliefs now. What you really mean to say is that Islam needs its own Martin Luther, and maybe it does, but the reform needs to happen now. They are on their own path to destruction. Hopefully they have enough willing to take up the cup before we pour our wrath upon them.

The problem with your position is that most if not ALL of the leaders of the faith (Islam), teach that the coming of their saviour is near at hand and it is time to kill all non-blievers, of which I am one. They will never convert me.

If you would like to learn more about this faith go to:

The trick is not to read some obscure text from the holy book, and attribute that text's belligerency to all adherents to that faith. Most Muslims are decent, peace-loving people. Only a very small minority will ever take up arms.

Well said my friend. We tend to forget it is the radical fringe that get all the media play and we tend to expand it to the whole society.

I volunteered for hospice a few years back. I spent a good portion of the time with a black muslim man who was dying of colon cancer. As part of my visit i would read to him from the Quran. I ended up reading it from cover to cover. He was an extraordinarily peaceful and spiritual man. And we talked about our beliefs afterward. He died about a month after 9/11 so we never had a chance to talk about that event.

On the flip side when a radical fringe takes oover a society thats when there is danger brewing ( e.g Hitler and nazism). That's what i fear is happening in Muslim society.

I've got friends who are Muslim

Do your friends condemn the world-wide jihad or do they just keep quiet about it?

I think they will start pushing

It's what they do. Once they hit the 5% mark, they push -- hard.

The following is a description (slightly modified) from Dr. Peter Hammond's book: Slavery, Terrorism and Islam: The Historical Roots and Contemporary Threat. www.frontline.org.za/books_videos/sti.htm

As long as the Muslim population remains around 1% of any given country they will be regarded as a peace-loving minority and not as a threat to anyone. In fact, they may be featured in articles and films, stereotyped for their colorful uniqueness.

At 2% and 3% they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs [Europe, Australia, USA and Japan]. Six percent of US prison inmates are Muslim. Like any other minority, they won’t integrate, but work to build their own separate community.

From 5% on they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population.

They will push for the introduction of halaal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature it on their shelves (along with threats for failure to comply).

At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves under Sharia, the Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islam is not to convert the world, but to establish Sharia law over the entire world.

When Muslims reach 10% of the population, they will increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions. (Paris car-burnings). Any non-Muslim action that offends Islam will result in uprisings and threats.

After reaching 20% expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings and church and synagogue burning (India, Mindanao, Philippines and Israel).

At 40% you will find widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks and ongoing militia warfare [Indonesia].

From 60% you may expect unfettered persecution of non-believers and other religions, sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon and Jizya (infidel tax). (Sudan, Kosovo, Lebanon and Egypt).

After 80% expect State run ethnic cleansing and genocide [Sudan, Western Papua (New Guinea), Biafra, Turkey and North Nigeria].

100% will usher in the peace of "Dar-es-Salaam" - House of Peace - as in Saudi Arabia, Libya and Yemen.

If you read the Bible, there are scads of commands to exterminate one's enemies (Deu. 7:2 - you shall show no mercy, leave none alive.)

And ALL of those types of statements are in the Old Testament.

The New Testament has NONE of those statements.

What did Jesus say?

Two things - Love your enemies and turn the other cheek.

What did Mohammed say?

Kill your enemies and pluck out their eyes.

Those statements pretty much say it all.

I don't know if he is or not, but I believe your 2nd statement. We as a country are sound asleep with visions of sugarplums. Where will we be when we wake up?

I think there WILL be a pushback eventually, and when it happens, it's not going to be pretty.

Not in todays ever so PC society ... most Americans are not aware of the encroachment (or worse, don't care) of illegal aliens, various Moslem entities, etc.. U.S. sovereignty to these people is a joke.

During the Crusades

The moral relativist among us always go back 1,000 years in their attempts to justify the horrors of Islam in 2007.

However, they conveniently overlook the fact that there is no other religion on the planet, in 2007, that commands their members to commit murder in the name of their religion.

As far as Jude24's ending comment, "I have vowed to fight all enemies to the Constitution, foreign and domestic. Anyone who would infringe upon that central right - to worship as one pleases - is my enemy. You, sir, are an enemy. - he or she displays an ignorance of Islam that can only be described as breathtaking.

So it's time to schuck this whole freedom of religion thing?

You need to be educated about freedom of religion -- under Islam there is none and their goal is to impose Islam and Shari'a in America. Where will your freedom of religion be then?

Saudi Arabia - Conversion by a Muslim to another religion is punishable by death. Bibles are illegal. Churches are illegal. It is punishable by death for a non-mulsim to enter the "holy" muslim cities of Medina and Mecca.

Yemen - Bans proselytizing by non-Muslims and forbids conversions. The Government does not allow the building of new non-Muslim places of worship.

Kuwait - Registration and licensing of religious groups. Members of religions not sanctioned in the Koran may not build places of worship. Prohibits organized religious education for religions other than Islam.

Egypt - Islam is the official state religion and primary source of legislation. Accordingly, religious practices that conflict with Islamic law are prohibited. Muslims may face legal problems if they convert to another faith. Requires non-Muslims to obtain what is now a presidential decree to build a place of worship.

Algeria - The law prohibits public assembly for purposes of practicing a faith other than Islam. Non-Islamic proselytizing is illegal, and the Government restricts the importation of non-Islamic literature for distribution. The country has passed the "Regulation of Religious Practice" law, which stipulates a punishment of two to five years' imprisonment and heavy fines for anyone convicted of urging a Muslim to change his religion.

Syria - The constitution requires the president to be a Muslim and specifies that Islamic jurisprudence is a principal source of legislation. Sharing your Christian faith is discouraged as "posing a threat to the relations among religious groups" and carries a penalty of up to life in prison. A Christian is not allowed to proselytize – ever. Churches who want to hold an extra service must get a government permit. Sermons are routinely monitored, as is church fundraising.

Jordan - Has the death penalty for any Muslim selling land to a Jew.

Sudan - Conversion by a Muslim to another religion is punishable by death.

Pakistan - Conversion by a Muslim to another religion is punishable by death. Bans proselytizing by non-Muslims. Christians regularly put in prison for charges of blasphemy. Islam is the state religion, and in a court of law the testimony of a Christian carries less weight than that of a Muslim. Section 295(c) of the Penal Code calls for a death sentence for anyone who defiles the name of the Prophet Muhammad and requires the testimony of four Muslims for a conviction. This fosters an environment in which Muslims can feel free to use intimidation and violence against religious minorities for personal gain.

Qatar - Islamic instruction is compulsory in public schools. The government regulates the publication, importation, and distribution of non-Islamic religious literature. The government continues to prohibit proselytizing of Muslims by non-Muslims.

Malaysia - Under Malaysian law, any convert to Christianity must apply to a shariah (Muslim law) court to legally renounce Islam. Many Christians prefer to remain silent converts rather than take their battle to the shariah courts, where apostasy or conversion out of Islam is punishable by whipping, fines, imprisonment and--in the most extreme application--death.

The Maldives - In the island paradise visited by tens of thousands of tourists each year, Christianity is simply not tolerated. While local Christians – said to number around 300 out of a total population of 300,000 – do get together to worship, they do so at the risk of imprisonment or worse if discovered by the Muslim authorities. Bibles are banned, and tourists can be arrested for trying to bring them into the country.

Are you serious?

Here are a few quotes from some American-Muslims who are very, very serious. They want to destroy the U. S. Constitution and replace it with Shari'a law.

“Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith but to become dominant. The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth.”

Omar M. Ahmad, Chairman of the Board, Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), Islamic Conference in Freemont, California, July 1998 -- San Ramon Valley Herald, July 1998

--------------------------------------------------------------
"I wouldn't want to create the impression that I wouldn't like the government of the United States to be Islamic sometime in the future...But I'm not going to do anything violent to promote that. I'm going to do it through education."

Ibrahim Hooper, CAIR Spokesperson

--------------------------------------------------------------- “Once we are here, our mission in this country is to change it ... There is no way for Muslims to be violent in America, no way. We have other means to do it… If we are outside this country, we can say, 'Oh, Allah, destroy America.'"

Abdulrahman Alamoudi, 1996, at an Islamic conference in Chicago

Abdulrahman Alamoudi served in the 1990s as State’s goodwill ambassador to Muslim countries

(In 2004 Alamoudi was sentenced to a 23-year prison sentence for violating anti-terrorism sanctions, including a plot to kill the Saudi ruler.)

-------------------------------------------------------------- Nihad Awad, founder of Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), said, “I’m in support of the Hamas movement.”

This is not in dispute. It was was captured live on videotape as he uttered those words at Barry University in Florida in 1994

Nihad Awad, founder of Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), also said " The United States should and will be ruled by Sharia Law ".

More on CAIR (and sorry for the crappy formatting above).

The Council on American-Islamic Relations or CAIR was founded by three leaders of a front for the terrorist organization Hamas, in June of 1994. Since its creation:

*Four of CAIR’s officials have been charged with terrorist activities, in relation to Hamas and Al-Qaeda. Two of those officials are behind bars in the United States; the other two have been deported. One of them, Ghassan Elashi, was just sentenced, this past Thursday, to seven years in prison. Another CAIR official was listed by the U.S. Attorney’s office as a potential co-conspirator to the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center.

*CAIR has solicited money for two terrorist “charities” which were shut down shortly after the attacks on 9/11 for raising millions of dollars for Hamas and Al-Qaeda. Leaders of both these organizations were representatives of CAIR.

*CAIR has been named as a defendant in a lawsuit put forward by the family of the former Chief of the FBI’s Counter-Terrorism Section, John P. O’Neill, for his murder during the 9/11 attacks.

*CAIR’s parent organization, the Islamic Association for Palestine, in 2005, was shut down after it was found liable for the murder of an American boy, David Boim, during a Hamas terror operation in Israel.

I am serious. Perhaps you should go back and read the links posted in post #1 and see why I am increasingly angry about the presence of the Muslims here in the U.S. Forget about EU, they are teetering on the brink.

The Muslims here in the U.S. were out in our streets last summer, wailing and howling about Israel. We should have deported every last one on that day. It only proves that they can get one of their insane mobs together when it suits their purpose. Did they ever get out and rally for America? Not that I know of...

THE MUSLIMS IN THE U.S. WANT THE JIHAD TO WIN. Nothing more to talk about, they've had over five years to stand up and be Americans. They are Muslims and they want Islam to rule the world. Every day they get worse. They need to get out. This is war and they need to go back to their side of the world.

"So it's time to schuck this whole freedom of religion thing?"

Freedom of religion is one thing, freedom of hateful, bloody cults posing as religion is another. When our Constitutional "freedom of relgion" allows our country to commit suicide by allowing Muslims into our land to proliferate and conquer through terror, it's time to re-evaluate what constitutes true religion. Nothing that forces women to wear full body sacks all year long, in any and all weather conditions, and otherwise treats them worse than dogs is "religion". Nor is doctrine that allows men to beat their wives 'religion'. Nor is following a so-called 'holy' book, that teaches hatred of Christians and Jews, and death by beheading, 'religion'. Islam is anti-religion.
