Rep. Henry Waxman (D-CA) chairs a House Oversight and Government Reform Ctme. hearing on the disclosure of CIA Agent Valerie Plame Wilson's identity. The hearing will look into whether White House officials followed appropriate procedures for safeguarding the identity of Ms. Wilson.

Well, now she's retired, she's escaped Langley, has a million dollar book deal, a million dollar movie deal, and she's having dinner with Mrs. Bill Clinton. I wish someone would ruin my career like that!
Star...her performance WAS a total rehearsed sham.
Waxman started the whole hearing by saying she was a covert agent at the time of the "outing".
She had obviously been given the questions in advance...and new exactly what to answer.
There were only 2 GOP representatives asking questions...

You brought it up, I was just providing my opinion to a statement you made. Did you not expect people to read what you wrote and comment on it?
When I post comments, I like it if people read what I write and respond to it.
Maybe you could put a "please to not read or respond to this post" tag on the comments you make that we are not supposed to respond to.
Some of us are just following a live thread and responding to things we read in it, and probably don't deserve to be sucked into whatever personality issues are going on between specific posters.

Isaw about 30 seconds of her testimony w/o sound, which is as it should be. I must admit, if credibility could be handed out on physical attractiveness, what I saw was a very attractive woman (looking twice as good as any photo I have ever seen) making a case for herself ( I DID say the sound was off, so I heard no question nor answers), making a pretty virtual case for her pretty self as another blonde who can seduce the media into turning their cameras on , and "taking her seriously" as a celebrity, which is ALL she is , and all she can EVER be. And , hey, let's give her and her hubby some credit for playing the vacuous media game of celebrity-hustling. Their story, should it EVER be analyzed for what it really is, will go down in the history of the 21st century's American Political "life" as a new low-water mark for dangerous absurdity, time-wasting media perversion, and whatever the possible negative fallout might be, the potential for having your obvious deceit come back and bite you worse than you ever bit us, and wasted our time and resources.
My fingers are crossed for these two some day getting what they really deserve, but I may have to wait for Judgement Day for them to get it.

Yes, it was interesting that when asked if Victoria's comment that she hadn't been on a mission in 5 years was correct, she refused to answer, instead saying she was "covert", explaining that once you are "covert" you are always "covert", and elsewhere saying she travelled in the past 5 years without saying why she travelled.
The democrat representatives, who cannot be charged with perjury, are the ones who used the term "covert at the time", and other statements which they made as statements, NOT as questions, so that she wouldn't have to acknowledge the truth or falsehood of what she was saying.
It would have been funny if a republican had asked her if any of the democrats had said anything in her presence that she knew to be false. I wonder if the democrats were smart enough to put that on a list of questions you couldn't ask.
I also would have loved to have had a person read all the questions they weren't allowed to ask into the record.

Waxman is purposely misrepresenting what the WH did. Gonzales and Bush order the staff to cooperate with all investigations as early as Sept of 2003.
