First to be measured with an "ace" above 100 mph.

The Army was testing some sort of radar mechanism, so Bob went in and worked "an inning".

Wish there were more like him. Still going to Fantasy Camp at nearly 90 years old.

Sigh.

Hey!
Bob Feller is my cousin! He is, really. His dad and my grandpa were first cousins, or something like that.
Anyhow, we share the last name and in the family, he is still refered to as "Bobby Feller".

WOW! How NICE! It's good to know he's up and about and still sharp and spry!

With a steady hand, he carefully wrote "Bob Feller HOF 62" on a baseball's sweet spot or bat's barrel.

Baseballs have sweet spots?

I think he's spot on in his assessment of the Iraq War and President Bush. The trouble is that we have forgotten how wars are supposed to be fought and how leaders are supposed to lead.

Sadly, I agree and it breaks my heart to say that.

I met Bob Feller about 15 years ago at a card show. Nice to see that he is still alive and kicking.
