The Han would probably build their superjumbo out of bamboo.

It just might work if China starts by building the world's largest kite and then "fine-tunes" the design...

Don't underrate China. When Columbus sailed the Atlantic on his 60 foot Channel freighter, the Chinese were sailing around the world on 450 foot ships. They can do it. Sure they can, if it's made out of wood. When we need another Spruce Goose we can have them built it.

The Han encompass most everyone that isn't in Western China. The Formosans say that they're not Han, but the Han say they are.

If the Han want to upgrade they could have the N Kors build the planes.

China has been forcing Boeing to "partner" with their domestic manufacturers building parts of the Boeing planes sold to Chinese airlines. A bit of blackmail/kickback arrangement to clinch needed sales quotas. Meanwhile the ChiComs have been quick students in learning all about Boeing's manufacturing processes, much of which has duel uses for military aircraft as well.
And take a look at the alumni roles of most American aerospace universities and you will see quite a few Chinese names there, especially in the graduate programs. Most can't get jobs in US defense companies, but they can take their knowledge back to China. Also the commercial side of Boeing probably has not a few H1B visa workers from China, who may end up running things back in China someday.

Also their major hydro plants are probably hooked up to some major aluminum production foundries.
