What I haven't seen is the evidence that specifically links the animal deaths to the food. Statistically 10 deaths over a few days doesn't seem like much.

On one of the newscasts, they also mentioned thousands were ill. I think ultimately it could end up with more than just 10 dead.

My sister and my sister-in-law both lost dogs last year to unexpected kidney failure. One (an English setter, age 9 years) was on Purina dry food, so I do not think the food was the cause. I think the other dog (a poodle age 11 years) was on senior Science Diet canned food.

We have had all kinds of reports here of pet owners with sick animals and a death here.
If they say only 10 pets have died to pull off 66 million packages of food, that is a joke, you know there is a lot more than that.
My dog was on one of the recalled foods and has been very lethargic and wetting in the house, we attributed it to his age. Now I am cooking him home made meals.
Also since there is a big worry of terrorists getting into the human food chain.
Geez,, I wonder if they know how much Americans love their pets.
