That would have been my preference as well, but I don't jump to the conclusion that that means they have no leadership skills. Quite to the contrary, ALL of our top candidates have demonstrated superior leadership skills to ANY of the Dem candidates. Further, they are forced to be more political savvy and correct than we might choose to be. Sad, but true.
I disagree. If they had any leadership skills they wouldn't be out their knee-jerk apologizing for the comments of a political comedian.
When Robin Williams did his swear-fest at some Clinton fund raiser, no Democratic apologized for his words. When Rosie O'Donnel says the stupid crap she's been saying daily, no Democratic apologizes for her words. If these three top dogs can't even handle a minor non-incident like a comedy routine, what are they going to do when Italy starts trying to arrest our CIA agents for taking a radical terrorist off the street? What are they going to do when 50,000 illegal aliens riot in L.A. demanding we open the boarder with that cesspool of corruption to the south of us?
Are these really the three best the Republican party has to offer?
When I look for leadership skills, I do appreciate Rudy's actions during 9/11, McCain's staunch support of the Iraq war in the face of mounting unpopularity, and Romney's Olympic save, Bain Capital turn around and stand-off with the Dems in Massachusetts.
There is no perfect candidate. The perfect candidate would be more conservative than Newt (without the baggage), would have the executive experience, intelligence and Reaganesque charm of Romney, the name recognition and star-power of 9/11 Rudy and the military experience of Hunter. Oh, and they have to be able to beat Hillary. Good luck finding that person.
