They may well be terrorists. How do we know?
Either that, or political science majors aimed for a career in politics, who are trying to avoid Kerry's past mistake of showing his face during anti-war protests.

Either way, when someone burns a military effigy, I think its a matter of national security to learn who is under those masks. There have always been some limits on free speech. Stirring up people to threaten our military calls for such a limit.

I think you misunderstand.

The anger and revulsion I feel is directed solely at the perpetrators of this evil deed, and those that support them.

This does not help their cause, and I guess that's what you were getting at, RK. The visceral disgust and literal physical illness I felt when I first looked at the image has hardened into anger at those responsible.

I often hear FReepers tell each other to pull their kids our of public schools. We also have to keep our kids out of liberal universities. I know we all think that our kids are special and will not be affected by four years of brainwashing, but more often than not, our kids do succumb.

We scrimp and save for years to make college available, but for what? The commies are laughing all the way to the bank. We need to hit them where it hurts. Let these liberal universities live without conservatives' kids. Often times, they are the one who pay the most tuition, because they don't qualify for need based financial aid.

Please, send your kids to conservative colleges. There are plenty. If you think you can't afford it, think again. Financial aid has become more the rule than the exception.

I don't have a huge problem with it being legal to burn the flag. I just think we should amend some other laws in such a way that beating the living snot out of a flag burner is fine too. It's ok to beat a bad guy in order to defend yourself - it ought also to be ok to beat a bad guy in order to defend your flag.
