Yeah, remember the big poster they had at one of their marches that said, "We support our troops when they shoot their officers"?
These people are beyond sickening. When did that happen to the wounded soldiers? I pray to God there were arrests made! There should be a special punishment for someone who would do something like that and I sure have some special ones in mind!
At some point near the end of the semester, when my son is assured of his grade (an A so far) and will have the paperwork to back it up, he has decided he is going to turn the tables on this jerk and tell him exactly what he thinks of his class and his politics.
He does not advertise the fact that he is a vet but it did come up in one of his classes. The reaction (from the students anyway) was actually quite positive.
He keeps his sanity by focusing on what he needs to do and on the task at hand (Army training comes in handy here). He ignores MOST of the insanity and takes advantage of the good things the school has to offer. He is a political science major and hopes to become a lawyer. He does NOT suffer fools gladly and will always stand up for what he believes.
Your point it well taken, though, and if I had my choice, he might very well be somewhere else. I'm not worried though. He can & will take care of himself and will not sacrifice his values.

I presume you are asking for feedback on this, and while I have always believed in the saying that "Teaching a pig to sing wastes your time and annoys the pig", I feel the need to state the obvious.
These dummies don't understand that our government has plans for a huge variety of contingencies that can be pulled off of a shelf, dusted off, adjusted and put into effect. They do all of this in advance, so in the event of a fast paced situation in a hot spot, we have a head start in how we might react.
I would be angry if our government DIDN'T plan these things in advance, and we have been doing so for years utilizing the skills of highly trained professionals and analysts to do so.
These people are not only ingnorant and arrogant, but they are stupid as well.
I have been down with the Freepers outside Walter Reed a few times, and initially, the signs the Code Pinkos held were pretty nasty and vitriolic.
Their own side smartened up and realized that letting people see how they really felt was not a good tactic, since most normal people would be shocked and upset, so the moonbats toned it down.
Even one of their pet demons, "big oil", is necessary for them to have their utopian lifestyle. Even if they are willing to eat from dumpsters, those dumpsters would become mighty empty if the trucks stopped rolling. They wouldn't have been able to get to Portland and DC to wave their yellow signs without oil. They wouldn't have had their lunches and sandals and backpacks without oil. They can't see that without energy, they will be in a pitiful condition. They refuse to look beyond their next protest or hook-up because International C.A.N.C.E.R. will keep them focused on their adolescent urge to change the world, rather than an adult urge to preserve the world.
They will grow up, most of them. It's a good thing there are grownups in the meantime to do the chores.

I was at GOE in Washington, DC last Saturday, and had the pleasure and privilege of having a bunch of US Marines for company.
When the moonbats came over the bridge, I could only imagine what was going through the minds of those young Marines as they watched the anarchists with the covered faces. You and I look at them like losers...I suspect these guys looked at them like targets.
What a great bunch of high spirited young men. I am in the process of writing my impressions of that day, and hope to post their pictures as well.
