As a mom of a Marine I am offended, but then again no one cares that I am offended. There won't be any congressional investigations over me being offended or laws passed that you can't offend me.

Life will go on, our young men and women will continue to volunteer to defend this country and our freedoms will continue to be swallowed by the politically correct, so pukes like this can smile while burning a soldier in effigy and hang a burning flag upside down.

It does not take a whole lot of character or heart to do this but it does take a whole lot of character and heart to defend your country.

>> As a mom of a Marine I am offended,

We are grateful for your family's devotion and sacrifice. You must be proud as the mother of a U.S. Marine unlike the mother of the rodent burning the effigy and flag.

"It does not take a whole lot of character or heart to do this but it does take a whole lot of character and heart to defend your country."

What a great statement. I'm trying to commit it to memory.

I'm going to bed now. I will say a prayer for your Marine. Thank you for raising a man of such character and standing by him now.

By the way, my heart breaks that these scum hurt you.

Ma'am, I'd like you to know that I saw some "Candle holders" while taking my boy back from little league practice tonight, and I told my seven year old boy that Dad was going to talk to them. I locked him in the vehicle, walked a short distance, introduced myself and explained my background as a Marine Corps Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran, engaged in a short but blunt discussion with them, and left.

In my corner of liberal la-la land, North of Seattle, the protesters were mostly middle aged so youth didn't excuse the naive ignorance I heard. The basic line I got was that if we leave the world alone everyone would stop attacking us, and the war was a lie.

I won't repeat what I said for various reasons, but rest assured that at least some of these morons got to hear from somebody who has been there and seen what our Marines in Iraq are really about, and what kind of enemy they face.

I do care that you are offended by these idiots.

You have one of the toughest jobs in the Corps, and Moms get no medals for a job well done. Semper Fi to you and your fine son.

Sorry, but liberals hold the monopoly on righteous indignation.
