Be sure to check out Fred Thompson's comments this morning on "Paul Harvey". The (we hope) soon-to-be presidential candidate really gave Mr. Gore's "the Earth has a fever" comment a humorous trampling.

GO FRED GO!

I wish just one question was thrown his way about if we should also try to save Mars, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn and all the rest of the planets in the SOLAR system that seemed to have caught the same fever Earth has.

I wish he had been challenged with data showing warming elsewhere in the Solar System, from Mars even to Pluto.

See point #2 in my profile, please.

So you are saying that the polar ice cap on Mars has not been shrinking for the last 3-years in a roll?

No, the scientists are saying (and I'm quoting them), that the observations of Mars are indicative of a regional climate change (perhaps with global effects like increased water vapor in the atmosphere, which was indicated to me today), which is a process internal to the climate system of Mars. It is not being caused by the Sun. And scientists know that the Earth has natural climate variability, and apparently Mars does too.
