For all you know she wants him to. It is quite possible that she wants to spend her last months on a presidential campaign rather than just wasting away at home.

Touche' on the DA. I lost my wife to cancer after it reappeared and wish I had spent more time with her. I can feel for her, but he needs to realize what is fixing to happen. Also, the one who should be scared is the oncologist. AFter all, he sued all the OB-GYN's in North Carolina so I'm sure if she does not make it, he will go after them just as well.
As soon as I heard this, I thought: What a sick puppy; using his wife's terminal illness to try and win the sympathy vote.
There's no way he'll win no matter what kind of guy he is.
No matter what, his wife is in for a battle, and people will want him to focus on her.
It's better for him to sit this time out, and be supportive of his wife.
He can use that the next time he runs.
