My local station used to play that. I loved it. I wish we would act. Now.

"...the only question will be who blinks first."

From here it looks as the British will be doing some serious soul searching. I can't guess, but if this crisis ends in a hurry, then we have lost Britain.

President Bush is in no way going to submit to Iran's demands now on this.

No effing way.

I think that the British will take a stand, and that there will come a new resolve over there.

" maybe they think a bunch of sheep are worth more than their soldiers"

That is actually the problem now, they have become what they saved.

Amazing that 28 years later, the lyrics are as appropriate as ever.

we are not a whole lot better, the best argument for getting out of iraq i can think of is that if we are not going over there to fight and win the war we would be better off coming home and letting them fight it out

We should start considering all hostages as good as dead from the moment they're taken, and never allow them to be used as bargaining chips. We should drop a couple of bunker busters on the holy city of Qom or whichever other rathole that well is in where their hidden imam is.

What the hell were these British sailors doing surrending to Iranians?

If I was a coalition soldier in Iraq, I am going down shooting (with the biggest fire power that is available.)

You do not surrender to muslims (let alone Iranian ones.)

I doubt if there was a "confession"...but if there was, I bet he wasn't treated nearly as bad as the American torturers treat the prisoners in gitmo...../s

Unfortunately, you could be right.

There has been rumors that those Israeli soldiers could have been taken to Tehran...IF they are still alive.

I wonder if they will be treated in accordance with the Geneva Convention.

Will the UK "bargain" with terrorists?

It's more clever than that. Will the US bargain with terrorists in order to free the British hostages?

This is an attempt to drive a wedge in the alliance.

"There has been rumors that those Israeli soldiers could have been taken to Tehran...IF they are still alive."

I sincerely hope not. God only knows what horrors await them there.

W was in charge when china took a surveillance plane. W was in charge when Iran was sending in munitions and training terrorists. w was in charge when they moved wmd to syria.

I voted for President Bush twice. I believe that he is an honorable and courageous man. I applauded his latest stand against the democraps. I think he has been let down repeatedly by his appointees and the leftovers in all government agencies. But, the buck stops with him.
