ELBERT COUNTY, Co. -- The Elbert County sheriff's office says 25-year old Bryant Hall jumped into a red, Pontiac Grand Am with a little boy and refused to let the child out.
Officers say the suspect was handcuffed at the time. Officers pursued the vehicle, but stopped because the child was in the car.
The Grand Am Hall is driving only has 1/4 tank of gas, according to deputies, and may have been abandoned.
Authorities believe Hall and 8 year old Riley Thompson may be in the Colorado Springs area.

It is a fairly poorly written story, isn't it.

ELBERT COUNTY- The Elbert County Sheriff's Office has issued an Amber Alert for an eight-year-old boy missing since Sunday afternoon.
The name of the missing child is Riley Thompson. Thompson was last seen at 3:15 Sunday afternoon.
The Sheriff's Office says 25-year-old Bryant Hall grabbed the boy and jumped into a vehicle. Law enforcement officers pursued Hall, but backed off for the safety of the child in the car. Officials say Hall was in handcuffs during the pursuit.
The Sheriff's Office says the vehicle only had a 1/4 tank of gas and believe it may have been abandoned.
Hall and Thompson may be in the Colorado Springs area. Hall has a parole violation warrant out of California and is considered armed and dangerous.
The Sheriff's Office describes Hall as a black man, 5'8", 165 pounds with short, shaved hair. He was last seen wearing black sweat pants, a white shirt and black tennis shoes. He has a tattoo at the corner of each eye.
Thompson is a black boy, 4' tall, 45 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair. Thompson was last seen wearing black sweats, a yellow t-shirt and a black hoodie sweatshirt.
The Sheriff's Office says Hall was driving a red 2003, 4-door Pontiac Grand Am. The car has North Carolina plates with license plate number VTV6594. The car is dented all the way down the left side with a missing mirror on that side.

How can a handcuffed guy abduct an eight year old and control him while driving a car? This is bizarre. Prayers for the poor little guy.
Send forth Your angels to protect this child and show him a way of escape. Give him a clear, calm head and help him to know that You are with him, even in the midst of this evil. I would hope not. A guy with short legs (he's 5'8") and long arms can fairly easily get his hands from behind him to in front of him with cuffs on.

According to son, local Fox news is reporting the child has been found, "boyfriend" is still at large.
At first I was worried that the person(s) trying to abduct kids in Denver (Cherry Hills area I think) had finally been successful.
Thank you for your research. I looked at the official "ping" list started at the beginning of the year. Apparantly Colorado does not have an official ping list. We may want to work on that. I just recently was listening to Jon Caldera talking about "Referendum C." The non-tax increase tax increase... needs more money.
