I have no doubt in my mind that vicious attacks against an unsuspecting American population are being planned in this nation by radical Islamic activists and encouraged in some American mosques by radical Islamic clerics.

There are at least seven Al Qaida sleeper cells in major cities in this country just waiting for a signal to attack in the streets of America, maybe with conventional weapons or if they can get their hands on them the nuclear and chemical weapons.

While Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid lead the Congress and Senate in meaningless junk like non-binding resolutions, the enemy looks on the childish games in Washington and gloats, getting stronger and bolder every day.

How about you, Mr. President, do you still think Islam is a peaceful religion?

If you do Mr. President please wake up. They are not even peaceful to their brother and sister Muslims, much less to the rest of the world.

Of course for us to admit that would be to violate the ground rules of political correctness and what a horrifying thought that would be.

The Democrats and Republicans are more interested in destroying each other than they are in defending this country. They're children fighting over a toy in a sand box.

And in the meantime America sits here like a big dumb, overfed, overconfident, spoiled brat, ignoring the danger that exists right in our own back yard. We are so afraid of offending somebody or being accused of racial profiling that we invite anybody who wants to come on in and destroy us.

We refuse to even protect our international borders. We are more concerned with the rights of a scumbag drug dealer than we are with the protection of our children.

The day will come when there will be an urban war fought in the streets of America if somebody in power doesn't forget about their own dumb political parties and start looking out for the people of this country.

We are in grave danger, I know that and I'm not privy to the intelligence reports the people in Washington are regularly given. They should pay more attention to the reports and less attention to The Washington Post.

I have not heard one presidential candidate mention a word about what they would do to make America safer from domestic terrorists. And it is one of the most immediate and important problems facing America today.

And some of you people in Washington actually want us to give up our guns?

Ain't gonna happen.

Somebodys got to protect us.

Pray for our troops.

There will be war in our streets, sadly. Will it change anything for the better? Doubtful. The government has all the real serious firepower - and the government is not on our side. They'll come in, overpower everybody and subject citizens to the same martial law restrictions placed on the violent invaders and terrorists. Most of us only have a few rifles, shotguns and pistols.

Nah, they wouldn't do that! We have a good example that proves it: New Orleans after Katrina. There, the government went after the bad guys, kept the streets safe, and left the law abiding alone.

What, the government ran from the bad guys? The streets weren't safe? And the corrupt police disarmed the law-abiding? And the corrupt police chief promised to do the same thing again despite a clear law and a court case to the contrary? Ooops, nevermind...

His comment about America being a "big, overconfident, spoiled brat unaware of the dangers in our own backyard" reminds me of a little story I heard in school as a child.

It went something along the lines that a number of mice were in a house or building, and at first--they had to stay keen and in shape and on the alert of the cat in the area, and to get food.

But one day-- they somehow(I do not recall how) found a HUGE supply of food, so much so, that most of the mice just started to eat all they could, and in doing so, neglected their cat-fighting skills, and got fat and lazy. They figured "happy times are here again" and so--did not worry about the cat anymore--they had all they would need for a long time.

But one mouse , while getting plenty to eat, STILL kept sharp and in shape, ready to outsmart the cat if need be.

All the while--the others just made fun of him, and laughed and played in their "land of plenty..."

Till one day...The cat made his appearance. needless to say--the smart mouse got away easily, BUT the fat, lazy, out-of shape mice were not prepared for this, could not run very well or evade the cat, and became DINNER for the cat!!

This little story SO MUCH reminds me of America today. People have become totally complacent, all wrapped up in things like American idol, Anna Nicole Smith, making money, , buying nice toys, sex, drugs (a LOT of that) and rock and roll..while ignoring the REAL dangers just waiting to rise to the surface and cause mass upheaval!!

As I have told a few people who say things like "lets just bring them home now" or Bush in the enemy"...

We should all fear these militarized SWAT cowboy cops. As another poster pointed out, the military - especially the officers - are well aware of their oath. Local cops, though, getting orders from tinpot rulers are real damn dangerous.

Don't be too confident. We are living in strange times that require us to be prepared for everything.

Civil unrest and martial law may be coming sooner than we expect. Don't be caught with your britches down. I wouldn't want to be within 100 miles of major cities if the shtf.

Now's the time to stock up on food, water, cash (small bills) and familiar tools while we still can. I recommend numerous caches.

Don't forget local maps of every spot you have selected!

As I've said before - no politician can maintain a 300 yard perimeter forever. My eyes aren't what they used to be, but I can still bust 1 gallon milk jugs over iron sights at that distance.
