Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain praised former Tennessee Sen. Fred Thompson Tuesday, after a new poll showed the current "Law and Order" star enjoys double-digit support.
"I often said if I had his voice, I'd be president of the United States today," McCain told CNN's Wolf Blitzer. "And people, at least 12 percent, should support him. He's already been president in several movies. He's a wonderful man, and has led this country very well."

There is more and more evidence, not the least of them are the recent polls, that Thompson is HELPING McCain, by syphoning votes away from McCain's strongest opponent, Giuliani. So, if you want to have McCain be the Republican nominee, and Hillary to become president, support Fred Thompson.
John McCain once again shows his snarky side.
LOL....nice.
Fred Thompson's not running. Atleast not yet. Why would he be taking votes away from one of the candidates. Hmm...if he is...IMAGINE what support he may get if he did decide to run.
More Rudy-backers getting extremely squirrely on FR. What the hell is going on?

Fred is a lot more of a man that that scumbag Giuliani the MSM is telling us all to vote for!
DING!
Whattheheck does this mean?
*"And people, at least 12 percent, should support him"*
New Gallup poll.
"What the hell is going on?"
REALITY and some people ignoring it to our peril.
There isn't a single thing that make Giuliani more electable than Fred. There are a LOT of things that make him far less electable. Isn't that what it's all about, anyway, according to the way the rudytooters have framed the argument? Why else would people support a pro abortion, anti-gun guy who raises money for militant gay anti war communist groups like rudy has?
Reality does not mean supporting someone like Giuliani, that's called delusional.
Twice in the last week we've been polled on who we'd vote for in the primary. The first time, the guy said he'd ask me two questions. My first answer was "Thompson, Fred Thompson." The guy hung up immediately.
The second call was for my husband and he gave the same answer. This time, they were ready and asked his second choice. Apparently the GOP pollsters are hearing a lot of support for Thompson.
I had to start keeping track. As the buzz around thompson grows, the rudyphiles will get more active in their attacks against him.
I have no idea...but McCain is a froot loop.
I did hear Rep. Zack Wamp from Tennessee on with Hugh Hewitt tonight..and he sounded like a kid on Christmas Eve...he is so excited about Thompson.
He said that it isn't his place to say if Thompson has decided to run...but that he KNOWS he is seriously considering it.
He said that his obligations of Law and Order and to Paul Harvey have him tied up to where he can't say anything right now..but, he is having a meeting in April with Congresscritters who are interested in him and/or are already on his bandwagon and will endorse him.
Wamp said the list gets longer every day of Congresscritters that want him to run...
He sounded pretty sure about it...
OK, I'll support Fred, if you insist.
In my best blackirish dorky dunce voice imitation, "Flopsweat!"
ha ha ha!
Yeah, I know I used it incorrectly, just like blackirish.
at least 12 per cent? McCain's a real prince.
Cool! He'll make a great VP for Hunter! :)
