A Muslim woman who said her religious and civil rights were violated is suing a judge.
Ginnah Muhammad filed the suit Wednesday in federal court. The suit claims Hamtramck Judge Paul Paruk's request that she remove her veil -- and the dismissal of her small-claims case when she didn't -- was unconstitutional based on her right to practice her religion.
Muhammad wore a scarf and veil that leaves only the eyes visible during the October hearing.
Paruk told Muhammad he needed to see her face to judge her truthfulness and gave a choice: take off the veil while testifying or have the case dismissed. She kept it on.
She was contesting a rental-car company repair bill.
How grossly unfair. NOT.

If I came into court with a paperbag over my head and only eyes cut out is this the same thing? You bet it is! How is the judge suppose to know who's under her getup. If this nonsense continues you might as well call us little France! When are we all going to stand fast and speak up! WHERE ARE OUR BALLS? Its funny that here is a Muslim woman suing a judge. If she was in a Muslim country, she would not even be allowed inside of a court room.
The Guard at the metal detector shouldnt have let her past him if she was wearing a mask. Thats what these veils are in essence---Masks. Try getting in with a ski mask on and see how far you get.

Man Sentenced to Prison for Gouging out Wife’s Eyes
A French court sentenced Mohamed Hadfi to 30 years in prison for blinding his 23-year-old wife Samira Bari by gouging out her eyes. The attack stemmed from a heated argument after she refused to have sex with him and demanded a divorce.
Hadfi’s lawyer, Jean-Pierre Cabanes, unsuccessfully pled “extenuating circumstances.” “This is the result of a marriage that was arranged, not chosen,” Cabanes said. “There are cultural differences. My client is from Morocco, where, I understand, such behaviors are customary.”
Cabanes also begged the jury for leniency, pointing to his client’s “mental illness.” “Hadfi is, after all, a Muslim,” Cabanes pointed out. “That in itself could be considered evidence of mental illness.”
In related news, a German judge dismissed a woman’s plea for an expedited divorce from her abusive husband on the grounds that the couple is Muslim. “The Koran permits a husband to discipline his wife,” the court order read. “Moderate beatings and, sometimes death, may be meted out to disobedient females. We cannot blindly impose Western standards on people of another culture.”
