That was a wonderful post. I really appreciate it. I was wondering if you would allow me to use it or another website giving you credit of course? I feel funny for asking, but it is really good. Thanks.

I don't think Iran wants war, but rather they think the US doesn't and are going to push and push are far as they think they can without going over where they think the line is. It is a strategy that has not visibly failed to date, unfortunately.

That is what we all hope. But even that best case scenario has significant dangers. That line is not clearly defined. As the Iranians keep escalating and keep testing for the boundary line, they will eventually cross it and wont realize it was crossed until it is too late. I believe that was Saddam's problem when he invaded Kuwait.

So there it is. The ransom has been demanded.

Yes, Unfortunately, the Europeans have developed a habit of paying them.

I hope, for the sake of all the Allies, that they do not, and hold firm.

If Iran gets a single inch at this point in the nuclear showdown, we will lose this fight, and they will get nukes without paying any price but what they have paid already. We will not be able to stop them without destroying them and the will to destroy them is not yet there.

I say we give some warning shots to Iran and grease their nuke plants.

"Picture shows GPS location of the incident, as seen from a Royal Navy helicopter over the merchant vessel"

Notice that the GPS receiver in the picture shows an altitude of 91 meters (~~ 300 feet).

That's important.

If Iran is spoofing GPS signals in order to lure us into a trap just across the real territorial line, then that vertical altitude reading would be in error proportionate to the desired horizontal Eastern error that they would need.

Or put another way: if that altitude can be confirmed at the time of the picture, then Iran is truly in error and there is no trap (i.e. our guys were where they were supposed to be, not across the line on the Iranian side).

On the other hand, if that altitude on the GPS display is incorrect, then we have proof of Iran's GPS signal jamming/spoofing.

And all the while this is going on and on and on the centrifuges are spinning away, ready to give Ahmamurdererijad the BOMB so he can live out his dream of wiping Israel off the map.

About time we see some indignation in the media, too bad ours doesn't give a rat's ass.

This is helping to protray our democrats for the mice they are. All they can say on ANY military action, ANYWHERE, is they're going to cower and shiver under their blankets.

I hope NATO nations are preparing for war, and not even bothering with the UN.

England needs to respond with overwhelming force, and know she's backed up.

I found it quite odd to see her puffing away with the kerchief on her head.

Another shrewd PR move by the Iranians -- aimed solely at the West. Think about it: smoking, to the PC crowd, makes you a villain or a lowlife -- why only villains or lowlifes smoke in movies now, have you noticed?

They're way, way ahead of us in the propaganda game, and we're so busy honoring their barbaric customs we haven't even taken notice.

I hope Britain admits nothing of the sort. An IBD report I read indicated the Brit craft was forced into Iranian waters by the Iranian thug-boats just before taking them hostage. Probably an attempt to create justification for their actions.

I too wondered if the cigarette was a signal.. Looks weird to see a woman smoking with that head scarf on, I think.

I know. Personally, I have always suspected that Iran already has a nuke (probably purchased from Russia), and the whole nuclear issue is simply that it wants to make more on its own and at the same time, it is letting the world know that it would not be reluctant to use the one it has. This is the only thing that I think would explain our reluctance to confront Iran, because we know they are simply crazy enough to use it, probably against Israel.

But I think Iran's time will come. This can't go on much longer, regardless of what the Dems think and how much they love their buddy Ahmanutcase.

I think they'll be released oretty soon.

Overall, the result of this could be very good, the British people may warm to the idea we need to take military action against Iran over its nuclear programme.

But who knows, the iranians are impossible to predict. If they esculate this too much further, there will be no turning back.
