Terrorism nightmares (Vanity)

Posted on 04/01/2007 4:57:35 PM PDT by se_ohio_young_conservative

Does anyone else out in FR have terrorism "dreams"

I started having them like 2 nights after Sept 11 2001 and they never went away. Sometimes they are soo eeerie. I had a big increase in the frequency of the dreams right before the attacks in London.

I will tell you this. I have been sleeping a lot less and a lot less comfortably since the Democrats took over.

Here's how to deal with your dreams:

Whatever age you are, you can make yourself more ready to defend this country and to fight our enemies. If for some reason you cannot train yourself in martial arts or in shooting, for example, you can take the online FEMA emergency preparedness course or find some way to support your local police, Search and Rescue, or whatever. Think about ROTC if you're a student. Think about supporting the troops.

There may not be much we can do to prevent or deal with a terrorist attack, but nearly all of us could do something more that we are doing. And I assure you, the most stressful thing is to sit and feel like there's nothing you can do.

We have all been sleeping a lot more uneasily since the Dems took Congress, but it isnt a terrorist nightmare,Its a democrat nightmare. A Traitor nightmare. We can shoot the terrorist but the democrats are stabbing us in the back and selling out our country and we can only fight at the ballot box.

I hear you young conservative. I sleep much less easy with terrorist (sorry, "insurgent")-coddling Dems with so much power.

I'd suggest what that other poster suggested; take a look at FEMA preparedness info (I did) and make sure you have plenty of water and food available, always have plenty of gas in your car, and be ever vigilant.

I dreamed that Shrillary was a terrorist and tried to smother me with her huge thighs...more frightening than being beheaded.

“My advice to you is to start drinking heavy.”

And then start working on voting the democrats out of power. I f you think about the content of all the news ever since Bush became President and how it has been so negative, the democrats and the mainstream news have bombarded us daily with hatred towards Bush and his administration. Now Congress has raised the white flag and turned on all of us Americans because they so desparately want the war in Iraq to fail so they can consolidate their power in D.C., because if we succeed in Iraq, the democrats will not be able to win the next election. That's what is affecting you just because of the negativity and the total siding with our enemies just to win power...and, yes it is sick beyond belief for our own politicians to consider their being in power as more important than the very security and future of America as we know it. Listen to Rush Limbaugh on the radio and it will maker perfect sense. We must defeat the democrats now and in the future or we will be doomed.

Here's mine:

My dream took place in Cleveland, Ohio. I was like a third witness (much like how Scrooge was taken into the past by the Ghost of Christmas Past) where I saw everything but could not interact or stop anything. It was where a group of Islamic terrorists had a 20 kiloton (about the size of the Nagasaki bomb) bomb where their plan was to ship it or park it at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and detonate it. The head terrorist reminded me of a little bit of a cross between a young Saddam Hussein and Mohammed Atta. He kept saying to his group, "Alla Akbar" over and over again. I tried to take a swing at him with my fists but like Scrooge witnessing his past, it had no effect. It was daytime. Other places I saw was Lakefront Airport, IIRC pretty close to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, where they have a race with Formula 1 cars.

Then I remember being here in Pittsburgh at night and saw a flash in the sky towards the northwest and then a minute or two later, the news was reporting an atomic detonation in Cleveland on the TV. I then work up in a sweat and started a prayer to God, hoping it was just a dream.

I sure hope it was the food talkin' and hopefully Homeland Security has a handle on things. BTw, I know this sounds like "24" but I had this dream about two weeks bofore I became a fan with the current season.

I got that out of my system in October - Dec 2001 while I was busy killing Al Qaeda & Taliban in Afghanistan.

Nothing more terrifying than being the bad guy with an AC-130 flying above you.

And God bless you as well.

I frequently went to Wright-Patterson throughout my career. Beautiful country. Crazy weather sometimes.

Right after 911 I had some related dreams. I never felt the need to 'deal' with them because I generally enjoy nightmares, after I wake up.

I tend to have nightmares about getting pricked by youths holding hyperdermic needles. I wouldn't read too much into it, however.

Before 9/11. I was quite shy.

Now I dream of being in politics. Now I feel like I could stand up in front of madison square garden and give a speech with fire, passion and emotion.
