Now after almost nine years here I'm kind of stuck with it.
Ha! From Sydney Pollock, who gave us the apolitical thriller Three Days of the Condor (a CIA hit-piece and total departure theme-wise from the book) and The Way We Were which glorified the lefty-lib commie-loving Streisand character? Ha! I say!
If it has no political agenda, then is should show all of the aspects of the election and vote counting, including the Democrats attempts to NOT count votes from members of the military who voted by Absentee Ballot, and their push polling to create confusion among the old people in the area, to make them think they voted, inadvertently, for Pat Buchanan, when they didn't.
Anyone that laments how 'divided' the country is today must not remember those 5 or 6 weeks.
I think had I been in that frame of mind I'd'a picked Nino ("Nah, never mind, I'll just move over to the TV"). But I'd moved on to arcane JRRT themes by that time, and now I'm stuck with this nick. However, as I now live in a pine forest, which I can easily mistake for Neldoreth, I guess I'm okay.
All of which is to say that I'd rather talk about personal quirks and offbeat TV shows than a HBO pseudodrama written by a third-rate actor with delusions of being Alan Cumming (now there's a wasteful delusion IMHO).
I wonder if they will include the Rush demo of how a single wire can create enough fraudulant double ballots...
Will they cover the 'rats demanding the military vote be invalidated by the thousands?
This movie is going to be as credible as Rosie doing a 911 documentary on her demolition theory.
If you tell the truth about Bush winning, no one will watch it.
Best-read account about the aftermath of the 2000 election: "At Any Cost: How Al Gore Tried to Steal the Election" by Bill Sammon. All you need to know about what really happened behind the scenes, and, but for the grace of God, how AG and the Dems nearly got away with stealing the election.
I would strongly distrust anything produced by HBO as being unbiased. Their so-called "documentaries" are all tilted far left. I'd be real surprised if his isn't just another hatchet job on conservatives. Remember this is the cable network that puts on Bill Maher.
An excellent book. I read it back in '02.
I still keep my copy on my bookshelf.

I have heard some local gossip about this movie. It will be released shortly before the election and designed to turn the election.
Local democrats are beside themselves.
