Interesting, I was never spared being taught repetively about the white man enslaving blacks, stealing land, being a behind all major strife in the world. I guess it is okay to offend whites.

Can you say "
Historical Revisionism"?
A lack of factual knowledge among some teachers, particularly in primary schools, is also leading to shallow lessons on emotive and difficult subjects, according to the study by the Historical Association.
George Santayana: "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."
This is rediculous.

History is by far the most potentially controversial subject taught in the school, even more troublesome than sex ed, for turning parents into ranting lunatics.
This is why the standard US history book used in high schools was so utterly watered down as to be useless. A bloated tome, it was noted that it devoted one paragraph each to Washington and Lincoln, and five pages to Marilyn Monroe.

Teachers are dropping controversial subjects such as the Holocaust and the Crusades from history lessons because they do not want to offend children from certain races or religions, a report claims. Polynesians? Buddhists?

In a related story, teachers are dropping the study of World War II, so as not to offend students of German, Japanese, and Italian extraction.

Fact is, we were not taught about the Holocaust in the fifties and sixties. For some reason, they didn't think we needed to know. I know when the a TV movie about the Holocaust ran in the late 60's, my mother said "Why can't just forget about it."
Needless to say I have always remembered the movie, because it was the first that I really understood what happened.

President Reagan commissioned a committee to find out why America’s schools were graduating students that couldn’t read, write, and compute. Over twenty years later, the public schools and Liberal teachers are creating generations of Liberals as well as illiterate students. Parents better wake up and take back their schools from the NEA and Liberal educators.

This is why I’m reviewing the curriculum before I send my kids to a school, any school.

The story is from the UK and originated there it has nothing to do with American teachers it is just the wimpy teachers in the UK. No offense towards fellow freepers who are from the UK. Their teachers are so overtly politically correct it makes you sick.
My guess and it is just a guess they do not want to get stoned to death. You see the original story from the UK read Teachers refuse to teach the holocaust for fear of offending Muslims. Not those exact words but you get the drift. I always thought the Brits had stiff upper lips and all that jazz but now some appear to be nothing but wimps. Again no offense toward freepers from the UK

This is the beginning of the end for Jolly ol England. Like France they are changing to accommodate Islam instead of Islam assimilating into its host country. I have an Idea lets follow the new school format in one town in the state of Washington, come to school if you want, take a test if you want,no assignments, and if you don’t want to come to school at all, don’t! This way you don’t have to worry about offending ANYONE! THIS WORLD HAS A DESEASE,ITS CALLED THE LIBERAL LEFT! WAKE UP ENGLAND, WAKE UP FRANCE, WAKE UP AMERICA. "thier heeere"

My daughters are learning about the Holocaust now. The children have been given pictures of Jewish children who suffered in the Holocaust. The pictures are from before they were captured however, having fun, with family, etc. The kids in class have to find a picture of themselves in a similar pose to the children in the pictures.
Kind of a chilling assignment - there but for the grace of God go I.

This strange and horrible self destructive phenomenon is happening in Eurabia too.
It’s about assumed self-guilt-—a moral guilt on the part of Liberals that is dealt with by subverting reality.

I just bought a second copy of Larry Schweikart's A PATRIOT'S HISTORY OF THE US for my home-schooled grandchildren. I recommend you all do the same for your children or grandchildren. They especially need it if they're attending the government's indoctrination camps.
