Britons released ? Why now ? Because of Pelosi !!

Why is Iran announcing the release of the British soldiers ?

Why now ?

Last Sunday, Iran told the AEIA that it would not let the UN inspector see some parts of the iranian nuke programs. Yesterday, the AEIA claimed that Iran had multiplied its current capability by 3 since the hostage crisis began.

Iran tried to take US hostages on January 20, 2007 in Kerbala, Iraq. The mission failed, and the Revolution Guards slaughtered 5 GI'S.

Iran hoped to make pressure on America, and is still hoping that America won't bomb the country when Iran will expell the UN inspectors from the country.

The visit of the House speaker Pelosi to Syria, close ally to Iran, gave the mullahs the impression their strategy had worked.

That's why they will release the Britons hostages today.

The Axis of Evil thinks America is weak and not prepared to fight even if one her ally is in difficulty.

Because of Pelosi, Iran is more optimistic and is about to lauch a big - BIG - war this Summer, against Israel using Hezbollah and Syria and against the USA in Iraq by sending new iranian troops in Iraq.

Brothers, for Iranians, Pelosi's visit means America surrenders.

Pelosi has committed an act of sedition. She should be prosecuted when she returns.

I believe these theories are all wet.

No doubt Nancy’s visit makes great propaganda for the Syrians and no doubt it hurts Bush’s and thereby America’s policies, but I see no way to attribute the release of hostages to Pelosi .By the way I wont believe the hostages are released until I see them released.

Maybe the dispatch of the U.S.S. Nimitz to the Persian Gulf had something to do with this as well ....

Achmeddickjob said he would return the 15 sailors as a gift to the United Kingdom. I suspect some back channel diplomacy told him we would then consent not to deliver our gift from this:

Well, I don’t want to overdo the importance of this, but yesterday I did do a 3 mile run on the treadmill. Perhaps this also swayed the nutjobs.

I suspect that the released Iranian diplomat held by "iraqi terrorists" in Iraq a few days ago was part of a bigger behind the scenes deal.
Wait a few weeks for a few more Iranians being held in Iraq to be returned.

I daresay the Iranians realized they had bit off more than they wanted to chew, and Blair was firm but calm about the whole thing. Much like the China Plane incident and the Bush administration back in 2001, many freepers will consider this some sort of defeat, rather than a triumph of diplomacy.

Perhaps they were told that the new supplier for the “oil for food” program would be Menu Foods.

“many freepers will consider this some sort of defeat, rather than a triumph of diplomacy.”

It is absolutely a huge public relations defeat for the UK and the West. In the eyes of the the entire Islamic world, the Iranians have stood up to the Little Satan of the UK and the West.

It is great that the 15 are going to get out, but unless there is a swift and severe air attack on Iran, this is a total loss.

How many times did Carter win the release of our hostages before they came home after Reagan took office?

Iran said to the AEIA that it won’t release some important informations about its nuke program anymore.

Iranians want to aweaken the “hawks” among the US administration and strenghten the “doves”.

Sure Pelosi’s visit has something to do with the release.

I’m sorry if you don’t see that, but Iranians do. I visit every day websites of Iranian dissents, and they all say the same.

Ahmadinejad try to divide the US, to promote the Dems way of thinking instead of the Bush’s. The Dems way will permit Iran to have nukes. Bush will never do.

That’s why it is happening right now.

Because it is defeat to bend over when your own people are being unfairly used as pawns and not to show that you would more than willing to destroy their country over one citizen is weakness. That is strength and reduce the chance of a follow up or copycat from another country. The Brits wallowed on their stomachs and knees to get back their folks.

With the Muslim world, ANY action is a triumph for their side. If you use diplomacy, they say you are weak. If you try increased pressure, they call you a bully. And if you bomb the heck out of them, they play the victim and everyone on the left (plus the EU and the UN) calls you a warmonger and ramps up their protests and "hate America" junk, while a bunch of NGO's run over to the Middle East and give them aid.

I assume that the reason the Blair (and Bush) didn't choose door number three is that they have other considerations right now. PR is not particularly high on their list, given the level of vitriol already running amok in the Arab world.
