“If the Jewish population in this country only realized who their real friends are...”

I think this treacherous behavior by the liberal party will shed some light on the subject.

Except I'd add that Bella should leave the foreign policy to the Executive Branch, as the Constitution directs.

You must understand that the 'Rats (and the left, more generally) don't give a rat's ass about abiding by the Constitution, and haven't since it got in the way of the New Deal. The oath of office they take to preserve the Constitution is the most violated oath in human history.

You want to choke, read the comments at the WP after the editorial, although it looks like some FRish folks were there already.

You've got to wonder how it is that the comment by "MaryLouHarper" hasn't been removed. You'd think the Post would be embarrassed to leave that there.

“And speaking of Dem crime, why not vote in Republicans who have the balls to see to it that the Clinton crimes won’t go unpunished forever. And what about William Jefferson and the cash in the fridge?”

Oh YEAH!!! Ever get the feeling that without negative drive-by press coverage, not much gets investigated/prosecuted via Capitol Hill?
For being unelected, the old media sure has power. Think maybe it’s getting diluted, though, thanks to places like FR, FoxNews, EIB, etc.

Can the Democrats dump her and pick another [speaker]?

Of course they can, but I tend to doubt that they will.

How long before Pelousy accuses President Bush of contacting the Israeli’s and having them lie about her role and their requests to her? By the end of the day?

"We came in friendship, hope, and determined that the road to Damascus is a road to peace," Ms. Pelosi grandly declared.

Good God!  That just sounds, like, so freakin' Californian, dudes.

Yes, the drive-by “old media” sure has power. Without their cover-ups and lies, Bill Clinton would be in prison today for a whole bunch of felonies, including murder.

“I would say the Left’s disdain is more a myth than a reality.”

I vehemently disagree. Take a look at the protesters’ signs, read some DU threads, read the WashPost’s article that this thread is about and it’s comments section. Oh and go to our nations campuses. The reading is almost unreal.

Your breakdown of the Jewish members in Congress primarily reflects the demographic makeup of the gerrymandered districts. I agree that there is a incongruence between the Party of choice for Jews vs the anti Jewish sentiment on the left.

Maybe your votes will help offset the ones in CA that vote for NP, BB, and DF. Three of your finest. Not to mention WA, and LA, with two of the prime contenders for the Airhead of America Trophy.

She and the 3 Pub reps should be brought up on charges from the Logan Act. Would it not be sweet for the Ethics Com of the House to call these 4 dupes before them to answer questions?

After a meeting with Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad in Damascus, Ms. Pelosi announced that she had delivered a message from Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert that “Israel was ready to engage in peace talks” with Syria. What’s more, she added, Mr. Assad was ready to “resume the peace process” as well. Having announced this seeming diplomatic breakthrough, Ms. Pelosi suggested that her Kissingerian shuttle diplomacy was just getting started. “We expressed our interest in using our good offices in promoting peace between Israel and Syria,” she said.”

You can be sure that if a GOP Majority leader did this under a democrat President. He/she would be arrested and charged with the Logan Act the minute they landed back in the USA.

It might be wiser for us to refer to their article as duplicitous, rather than sensible. The article was written to save the Dems, not to save America.

Saving the Democrats from the lunatics that have taken control of the party would be good for America in the long run. A viable opposition party that would force the GOP to turn rightward would be a good thing.
