Independent tests by ConsumerLab.com revealed that of 21 brands of multivitamins on the market in the US and Canada, only 10 met the stated claims on their labels or satisfied other quality standards.
Of particular interest to dog owners: Pet-Tabs vitamins for dogs (made by Pfizer) were found to be contaminated with 1.4 micrograms of lead per tablet.

I think it might be of more interest that The Vitamin Shoppe Multivitamins Especially for Women had 15.3 micrograms of lead, which is 11 times what the dog vitamins had.
I’d watch out for products from China - they have an enormous lead contamination problem there. So many medicines and medical products come from there now.

Any info on Pet tinic?
Where did you read this? the link is a video that is not working for me.
BUT - I had second thoughts after reading the article, lol.
The very top red link under the title. It has the article there.
Who stands to make money from this report!
I think one should always be careful. I personally notice that taking multivitamins too regularly make me feel generally worse so I only take them when I’m not eating as well as I should or I’m working out heavily.
Thanks, the article didn’t come in right away and I thought there was only the video
Glad you got to see it anyway!
well, pfizer can’t sell you drugs if they don’t make you sick first.
Anyone want to sue for fraud?
ROTFL!!
I would never knowingly put anything from China in my body. Pills, garlic, fish, whatever. The quality control there consists of the question: “Did the customer pay yet?”
I'd watch out for dog in vitamins from China.
Luckily, I wasn’t drinking anything hot.
The pharmaceutical industry has been funding a long campaign to discredit and limit access to vitamins, herbal meds, etc. because supplements cut into the market for prescription meds. That said, quality is a concern; the supplement industry has a few crooks. I have been taking Vitamin Research Products for almost 30 years. They are the best in the business! Despite the negative propaganda in the article, there is solid evidence that a well designed supplement program can make you healthier.
