San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom said Thursday he will not order arrests of Critical Mass riders but cautioned that another incident could end the monthly event.
"We hope (Friday's confrontation) is an anomaly," Newsom said, "and that if this event continues and something like this occurs again, the entire event is in peril."
In the wake of Friday's clash between bicyclists and a family in a minivan, some have called for Critical Mass to be halted. Newsom said he would not call on police to make widespread arrests as former Mayor Willie Brown did in 1997. At the time, police arrested more than 100 cyclists, though charges were later dropped.
"It'd be easy to say we're going to crack down, no more," Newsom said. "But we've got to be pragmatic."

So what actually happened? The article just references a “clash” between bicyclists and a family in a minivan? Does anyone know the details?

A gang of unwashed hippie terrorists on bicycles assaulted a family in a minivan, and inflicted significant property damage. The incident was stopped by local police before any personal injury occurred.

And Newsom wrote the book. Such a disgusting city — the liberal socialist anus of California.

It’s not the city. It’s those who cause the problem. The City by the Bay is beautiful

Thanks for the update. Talk about mob rule. I thought minivans always got a pass from the eco-nazis because so many soccer moms drive them and vote for Nanny Gov’t.

He probably ran it through a local bath house. But, I thought all the bath houses had been bombed out by Mike Adams.

Its those who cause the problem.
True - but the city is its people. I have been there hundreds if not thousands of times over my years as a Bay Area resident. I don’t get near it anymore. It represents the epitome of everything that has come to destroy the state over the past 35 years. The breeding ground of leftist outlaws like Pelosi and Newsom who have spit in the face of the will of the voters, it remains an icon to the perversion of everything that has made California great and good.

San Francisco houses people who otherwise would keep going West, but they just ran out of land mass. They keep going further and further left. That’s why so many wacko moonbats are on the left coast. This is a very scientific explanation.

If a mob attacks my vehicle while I’m in it, well then break out the body bags, because I’m running them over.
