“Prayers to Fred & his family”

Prayers are fine, but encouragement is better! its treatable, in remission, GO FRED GO! (when you’re ready, that is)

I’d worry about the effect on voters, even if it turns out he’s passed the “cure” point.

Granted, it hasn’t affected Rudy’s support.

So, I don't see this as an automatic death sentence.

Agreed. In addition to Giuliani's prostate cancer, there is McCain's melanoma. It's valid to mention Cheney's heart disease for that matter.

Unless we want to resign ourselves to consistently voting for 50 year old candidates, we're likely to see health issues in any number of ways, being a factor.

Frankly, this illustrates perfectly how important the Veep slot is in any election.

You know that is wrong. There is no celebration and you KNOW IT. I think it is sad so many of you want to take this out on me, when it is CLEAR that many people knew this long ago. I wonder if you have the guts to apologize? I know you people are disappointed, but stop blaming the messenger!

Nobody is gloating here, and it is intellectually dishonest to aim your anger in my direction, simply because I was proved correct. Banning me, and deleting my posts does not change anything here. Naturally I wish Thompson all the best. But if you have any character at all, you will stop suggesting that ANYONE is pleased about this news becoming public. That is ridiculous, and you KNOW it.

Prayers for Fred. But heres what scares me. I am fully convinced that the Klintons made a pact with the devil years ago, and I’m convinced that situations keep happening to pave the way for the Klintons. There have been so many that have happened that should have stopped the Klintons, and somehow it never develops. I think this is all part of their pact with the devil. Let me give you a couple of examples. JFK Jr. was considering running for the Senate from N.Y. - he dies in a plane accident. Rudy G. was going to run against Hillary for the N.Y. Senate seat - He develops prostate cancer and has to drop out. Now this with Fred. Its too eerie. And then of course there is the Klinton body counts, that never seem to stick. There is the Sandy Burglar incident that never developed and because of that again saved the Klinton’s hide. The examples go on and on. These literally hundreds of incidents out there give me a sick feeling that there is some sort of pact with the devil and it is going to be inevitable that Hillary gets her coronation too.

Sounds to me like he just GOT it four years ago and it’s NOW in remission. Hard to tell.

Oh I’m sure she has her skeletons. It will take time to get through her harpies, but they will be found. And with the issue of health now at the forefront, I bet all candidates will be grilled about their health and will be asked to release medical records.

Fred, Jeri and their little ones are in the prayers of many people this morning...

On a practical note- I don’t think Fred would have decided to announce this unless he was planning to run...my opinion only..

Before the anti-fredders (and Rudy supporters) start questioning Fred's health, I hope they flash back to Rudy's cancer a few years ago as well as McCain's.

Excellent points!

My brother-in-law had lymphoma about 30 years ago, and was treated, and it's never come back.
