I’m sure he’s been talking...to lots of people. Given I’m not privey to his phone conversations or lack of them with McCain- it’s hard to know..but I’m sure he’s considered the factor of stress in a run..

Indolent lymphoma is slow-growing type of cancer expected to see about 63,000 new cases this year, according to the American Cancer Society.

Thompson has a favorable prognosis and is no longer in treatment, said Dr. Bruce Cheson of Georgetown University Hospital.

Doesn't look too bad!

Even the moonbats think this announcement means he’s running...(also, read the comments, they certainly show a lot of LOVE for a person they don’t want as President)...

"Jackie Onassis died from non-Hodgkins lymphoma five months from her diagnosis."

Actually she died from pneumonia and liver cancer.

Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis returned to her apartment on Fifth Avenue on Wednesday, after doctors at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center had found that cancer had spread to her liver and had told her there was nothing more they could do for her. Aggressive therapy, including antibiotic treatment of pneumonia that she developed early this week, was halted in keeping with the wishes Mrs. Onassis had expressed in a living will, a health worker familiar with her care said.

Stress is one of the main issues that drives cancer patients in remission, over the edge and back into full recurrence. I believe Tony Snow is now in the battle for his life because he took that chance.

One of my brothers was diagnosed with the “good kind” of lymphoma many years ago, on the order of 20 years. He’s undergone “remission” several times, and had another round of chemo, etc...

It is hard to tell the difference between his activity level and that of most other persons, though for those who know him, it cuts into his after-work hours time a bit when he’s more in the “fighting the lympho” stage.

This is not necessarily a disqualifier for him to do whatever he wants to do - no more than “prior heart incident” in importance, and certainly less than any “prior stroke” should be considered.

As with Mrs.Edwards, prayers for him and his family.

I agree stress is not good for people with Cancer. Stress actually is bad for anyone. It cause all kinds of things to come out in your body.

I’m wondering why he wanted to get it out there until he’s going to be announcing his candidacy soon.

I'm praying this is the case.

Reading on in the thread for updates.....

WHAT FRED THOMPSON SAID:

"I'm going to wait and see what happens," Thompson said. "I want to see my colleagues on the campaign trial, what they say, what they emphasize, whether they can carry the ball next November."

Re-read...that was a quote (poorly done by the writer at FOX) from the CHRIS WALLACE interview on 11 March...

That, ahem...was a full month ago ;)
