“I see that Mrs. William Jefferson Clinton is going to be meeting with the Rutgers basketball team.
Is she not the most shameless panderer ever?”

I wonder what kind of southern accent she’ll use this time.

Are you watching John Gibson right now? Bo Diedle is pissed.... big time and really going after Sharpton and Jackson. says in the big picture this is going to bring the real bigots out of the woodwork and cause a lot more harm than good.

He mentioned Brawley (who didn't even show up for herown grand jury hearing and still has an outstanding warrant as a result) and the Duke boys and Jackson refusing to appologize for what he said in this case.

Exactly...all they did was eat one of their own....and piss off allot of people who were kinda in the middle.

Eitherway you slice it, good for us.

I’m proud of him. He’s the ONLY one who is calling a spade a spade, literally.

It didn’t take Wikipedia long to update their Imus listing. It already has his firing posted.

Wallace,

You nailed it.

Remember the skits with Rob Bartlet skewering the Clinton's and Monica?

The Clinton's must love payback, because they are the masters at holding grudges and extracting revenge. After Reverend Al's Last presidential HQ's burnt down, I think he got the Arkansas message and is shilling for Hill.

The question is who else can she take down to clear the table, She can't win with Talk Radio counteracting her almost 24/7.

I don't mean to be tinfoil hat here, but if they get someone like Savage fired and start a pattern, that would not be good, not that this is.....

I don't know why, but I'm surprised nonetheless.

I loathe that man. He's a no talent and has, what...6 viewers?

CBS firing Imus — there’s something amusing about liberals eating their own.

I suspect that if Imus had huge Limbaugh-caliber ratings, he’d still be on the air. In other words, the Imus show’s mediocre ratings were not worth mollifying disgruntled advertisers.

In the end, it’s all about money. :)

My prediction is that Imus will retire. Maybe CBS will keep paying him for the duration of his contract just so he doesn’t go elsewhere.

Maybe they can get Al Franken to cover the slot.

Or Bill Maher. Christian bashing is still politically correct.

“Imus is not a conservative.”

I know. But he’s non-PC, and they want to get rid of all non-PC radio jocks, whether conservative or not.

ping This thread will offer more proof that the majority of FReepers, including myself, think that what has happened to Imus is wrong, in spite of how we feel about his show and his opinions.

He’s still knocking around DC on a mid-to-low budget AM station. Still doing the same bits...

Well, he’s Charles in Charge at MSNBC now; he proudly stated last night that he demanded that Imus be fired because he made MSNBC look bad.

He’s too stupid to realize he just killed the goose that kept his sorry ASS on the air.

Blame them. They weren’t at the meeting that Spelman College had about gangsta rap music artists and how it was bad for women. No where near it. I think the lady on Fox the other night was right. Imus went to sop at the table of Sharpton and got his ass bit. She said ‘Bush was her leader’ why not ask Dubya his opinion?
